The day goes by faster than I had hoped. I barely got to speak to anyone. But I did manage to talk to this one guy. This was his third year and my god was he hot. He towers over me at a good 6'2 or maybe 6'4? I don't know but the way his blue eyes sparkle with his teeth could make any girl swoon. His hair was a deep black styled to nicely sit on top of his head, and the muscles make him look like some mob boss out of a movie. His biceps and pecs are begging to bust out of his shirt! His name is Micheal and I wanted him. This year was going to be my year, I add getting Micheal as my boyfriend to my goal list along with join clubs. I signed up for 3 different clubs already. They had a club for bean bag chairs and there's no way to say no to that. But the drama club and home ec club are just things I found interesting. I know it's the 21st century and any feminist would say I'm playing into the patriarchy but honestly I don't care. I would love to be a mother and wife, but money comes first.
Of all the things I love about my mother her ability to take care of her family always impressed me. Even on her bad days, she had the whole house under control and that's something I respect. But unlike my mother, I want my money before my honey. People are unpredictable, they always have been. I don't want a man to be my only source of income and then he decides to leave for a younger woman. If I'm going to be a mom I need to be able to rescue my kids from anything and anyone I can, even if it's my husband.
Those are all just future plans but I have to focus on the now and right now I need to eat. I walk to the nearest subway and get the usual. The thing about the subway is once you order a type of sandwich at a young age you stick with it for the rest of your life; It is the unspoken rule. I grab some chips a drink and pay for my food. Before I make my way out the door I hear someone shout my name (Y/N) over here!" I turn around to see Micheal, who is practically the man of my dreams pulled out of a novel. I saunter over there and realize he's not sitting alone. There's another guy with him sitting beside him. Oh no, pleaasseee don't let them be dating. I would be a letdown if I found out he was already in a relationship with someone, Guy or girl. Hey I mean what he wants is what he wants, I just hope that it's me. As I sit down across from them the other guy looks at me then looks away rubbing the back of his neck. "Soo (Y/N how're you liking it here?" Micheal starts. "Oh, it's really nice here. I haven't had any time to make friends yet." I giggle. Oh god, I giggled.
"Oh. Well, I want you to meet my friend and roommate Tommy" Micheal says nudging the other guy's shoulder. Thomas is pretty built too. But not like Micheal "Hey. I'm Thomas but my friends call me Tommy." He says shaking my hand and smirking. His smirks almost seem sinister. "Well, I'm (Y/N). It's nice to meet you." As we chat and eat I start to really pay attention to the differences between the two. Micheal is tall and all his shirts seem too tight. Meanwhile, Thomas looks almost my height and his shirt looks to be his size but you can still tell he isn't skin and bone. He has a little on the chubby side but not when it comes to his arms. Even their hair is different. Micheals hair is black and neat, meanwhile, Thomas has brown curly hair that goes past his ears. Thomas's eyes are a deep brown like mine while Micheal has a piercing blue. Even the attitudes are different. Thomas seems calm and quiet but Micheal is proud and talkative. Man, this is weird. If I look hard enough I can see the slightly darker skin tone to Thomas. They seem like complete opposites. I finally ask "how did you two meet?" As I ask the two guys smile and chuckle. "It's a weird story" Thomas chuckles crumbling his sandwich wrapper. We throw away our trash and they start telling me the story of how they met. Apparently, on Thomas's first day he picked a fight with Michael before they knew they were roomies. Which I find surprising since Micheal is so much bigger than him. But the fight was over something stupid like a little shove. But after they talked it over they became good friends. "I have to catch my next seminar. I'll see you guys later" Thomas says walking away.I check my phone and it's time for my seminar too. "Actually I have to go too Micheal. Catch up later?" I say shrugging. "I'll do you one better," he says scribbling on a piece of paper. "Shoot me a text or call," he says handing me his number. Oh, my fucksicles this sexy guy gave me his number. "Thanks. I won't forget" I say jogging away so he doesn't see my cheesy smile. This is so my year.
