~Momo's POV~

"I'm kinda bummed that I couldn't see you this weekend" Kyoka says as we FaceTimed. "Ik but I mean tmr is Monday so you can see me then" I say. "I mean yeah but I wanna be with u all the time like 24/7 so I could protect you" she says. "From who, my evil mother?" I ask as a joke. "Well duh" she says giggling, she's adorable. "Kyo guess what" I say. "What?" She asked looking back at the phone instead of whatever she was doodling. "I have a gift for you" I say. "What is it?" She asked. "Well I can't tell u yet....it's a surprise" I say with a smirk. "If u were here right now I'd throw my pillow at u" she says holding up her red pillow. "You'd hit me?" I ask fake pouting knowing she'd panic. "Wait wait no I was joking I would never hit you I'm sorry" she says and keeps apologizing and I broke character and started laughing, "go fuck yourself" she says and I continue to mess with her. "I will but only if u watch" I say and she starts blushing. "Don't say that!" She says still red but soon her wifi cut out which was odd bc this never happened. I tried calling her but it wouldn't go through. I'm tired and it's late I'll ask her tmr.

Time skip the next morning

~Momo's POV~

"Have a good day at school" my mother says as I was about to walk out the door. That's weird, she's been mad at me for the past few weeks because I'm somehow 'distracted'. I get to class and Kyoka wasn't there which was also odd. Soon mr.aizawa walkedinto class, this was even for odd bc he normally enters the room on the ground in his yellow sleeping bag, he looked somewhat worried. "We have received some sad news about one of your classmates" he says and I look around the room Kyoka was the only one not present, please just be sick....please be okay. "Last night there was a fire at Jirou's house, the house was completed engulfed in flames by the time help arrive and the house was collapsed. they've been digging through the rebel for 10 hours and cannot find any source of live, we believe Kyoka Jirou has deceased, I'm sorry, class dismissed for today" he says and I knew he was crying to. I was crying with my head on my desk "hey yaomomo, how are you doing?" ochaco asked trying to keep a smile while crying kinda like midoriya. "fucking awful, my girlfriend is most likely dead because she was in her house when the fire started, if she was alive she would've came to my house" i say and i soon head home. "how was school? less destractions?" my mom asked and at dinner she turned on the news, every channel with the caption. 'UA highschool student most likely dead after house goes up in flames'. i put the little hints together. kyoka's connection went out and my mom came home about 20 mintues after but her job is an hour away and kyoka's house is 20 mintus from mine, no more destractions, house fire girlfriend dead. "you did this!" i yell pointing to my mom and she smirks and starts clapping slowly. "Ofc i did, anything for my only daughter to have the best education and no destrctions" she says. "She wasnt a destraction! she was everything to me! i was going through some things, i was hurt physically and mentaly and she was there for me! she was smart funny caring and she loved me, she protected me and promised she always would! i scream and run to my room and lock my door. "if you tell anyone i did this, you're going to lose alot more than just your friend" she threatens. hours pass and my phone was being spamed

~Momo's POV~

i read the top notifaction, mr.aizawa called so i call him back. "hello?" i ask. "Good evening yaoyorozu, i was just informed that Jiro is infact alive, i was able to reach out to your peers so they are also aware but i want you to come to the hospital" he says and i agree. I get there as soon as possible and the sight broke me. She was hooked up to a lot of machines and he heart was beating slow, she had a cast on her leg and arm and her torso was wrapped as well. "Yaoyorozu" mr aizawa says and I ok up at him. "We searched the house and everything was destroyed apart from this one picture" he says handing me a picture of us *in the top of the page, I drew it lol* I remember the week of the school festival when we took those pictures. I walk over to her and place a gentle kiss on her cheek. "Kyoka, please be okay" I say and I couldn't stop my tears. After a few days of visiting she still hadn't waken up so I gave up thinking she never would, every time I saw her I kept thinking of who did this...my own mother. I wanted to visit her today to apologize to her unconscious body about how I should've been there for her. "Hey Momo" Kyoka says sitting at the edge of the hospital bed and I immediately rush over the her, "how are you feeling, are u in any pain, when can you leave?" I ask and she just laughed nervously. "Mo, I'm fine, just a bit tired" she says and stand up. "See I'm fine" she says and hugs me.

A week later

~Kyoka's POV~

I just got out the hospital, my parents are too busy out being famous to care about me. So I made the decision of dropping out of U.A since I have nowhere to live, I'll need to get a few jobs. I walk to the gates of the school when someone pulled me aside....Momo. "Hey babe, what's up?" I ask, "I know what happened to your house" she says and I just looked at her confused. "I'm pretty sure everyone does, it was on fire" I say and she shakes her head. "No I mean...I know how....who" she says. "Go on?" I say. "My mother said that I was distracted and assumed you were the reason so she went to ur house and burnt it down, she wants you dead, I'm really sorry we can break up if want" she says tearing up and I hug her, I felt all the anger and hatred I had for her mother reach it's peek. "I'm not mad at u and I definitely don't want to break up with you, it isn't your fault, but I hate your mother....if I ever see her again I'm gonna kill her" I say. "Kyoka" Momo says, "yes?" I ask. "I wanna....I wannna run away far away, I don't want to constantly fear my life when it comes to villains and I don't want you to be in danger" she says. "Momo, I'm coming with you, anywhere you go I go" I say and she cries into my neck.
