Jafar's POV

I'll save you one day" those words replay in my mind constantly as if on repeat. I can never seem to get those words out of my head, even after all these years, no matter what I do I can't forget.

It's been 10 years since I killed that man, 10 years since I killed the only one that could save me and help me escape from this darkness, 10 years since I changed my destiny. Of cores I didn't know it at the time, but I do now.  If I said I didn't regret it I would be lying. At first he was only a small memory but as time went by his face started popping up in my thoughts and his voice echoed in my ears, then he invaded my dreams, leaving me no way to escape the guilt, eventually that guilt led to regret. Regret that I could have listened to him and turned my life around for the better, and maybe even made friends. But that will never be possible now that he's gone. Some nights I wonder what my life would have been like if I joined him, if it would have been better than my life now, if I would have been happy with the way things were.

Vittel has tried to comfort me multiple times but nothing he said could stop me from feeling regret, if not for me killing that man Vittel and Mahad might have been able to live happy, semi normal lives. To be honest I feel like those two are the only family I have left, the only people who care about me.

*gasp*

I bolted up from my bed drenched in cold sweat, gasping for air as I tried to calm myself down. As I sat in my bed trying to normalize my breathing again, I replayed the dream I just had in my mind, it was more of a memory in the form of a dream. It was of the night I had killed that man, it almost felt as if I was there, readying my blades and watching the small cottage-like building he was staying in, as the icy breeze stung my skin. It was all so clear, as if I had gone back in time to that specific day.

I sighed as I stood up from my bed not wanting to think about my dream anymore. I walked over to a small beat up dresser in the corner of my room and opened one of the drawers to pull out the outfit that I wore most days. (the outfit is what he's wearing in the picture above) after I finished putting on my clothes and pulling the mask over my face, I exited my tent and headed over to where Vittel and Mahad were standing, only to hear my name being called from the bosses tent. I changed direction and walked over to the big greenish colored tent.

Once I was in front of the dull colored tent I called out to let the boss, or better known as Osore, know I was there. "Enter" he said in a low but serious tone. Osore was a blond haired man with eyes the color of blood, one half of his face had a long jagged scar over his eye, it looked as if someone or something had ripped off the skin with a jagged edged knife. Once I entered I knelt down on one knee and awaited my orders. He watched me in amusement, "now, now Jafar no need to be so formal" the man said with a smile on his face. "My orders sir?" I said, annoyance just barely detectable in my voice. "Oh yes right, I have a new mission for you" "a new mission?" "why yes... it should be rather simple" I looked at the older man in confusion, he chucked at my confusion but continued "your mission is to assassinate this man" he said handing me a picture, it was a really shitty sketch, almost as if a child had drawn it. I gave him a blank stare "you want me to find and assassinate someone with just this?" I said holding up the piece of parchment "well I do have some additional information to make your search easier" "and that would be..." I said dragging out the E "he is currently living in a small town called Sedona, and as to what he looks like my spies said he has long purple hair and looks to be about 14 or 15" the man finished. "Wait you want me to kill a kid" usually I wouldn't complain or ask questions and just do as I'm told, but the description of my new target seemed awfully familiar.
