"PARKER!" Chester screamed, waking me up. I checked my phone. 2:06 am. I jumped out of the bed, racing towards where i heard his voice. Fuck. The creature towered in front of me, with Chester shaking behind him. Something deep red was near him, but i couldn't tell what it was. My eyes glanced between the monster and the deep red material on the ground. It took me a few seconds to realise what it was. Organs. Most likely from the girl that emailed us.

I could tell the creature was trying to say something. "Um, excuse me?" I asked politely. I was good at masking my fear. He stepped closer. Chester shook his head. "Where is your wife...?" The creature twitched. My eyes flickered between him, Chester and the front door. He lunged at me. He missed me by a centimetre, and i ran to Chester, grabbing his hand.

I ran us to the car, getting us both in and driving away. I had noticed that Chester was covered in blood. "Chester?" I mumbled. He nodded in response. "Are you hurt at all?" I asked him. He shook his head. Our house was pretty far away, at least 3 hours away. I could hear Chesters quiet crying. "Parker, i hate this stupid fucking job." He sobbed. I could only nod in response. It was a fucking nightmare. We had almost been killed many times, and the memories were excruciating. But we couldn't quit. Countless people have died, including people we know . Its kind of revenge, in a way. I don't know if its worth it anymore. He went to sleep, tears still streaming down his face. It fucking hurt seeing him like this.

We pulled up to the driveway of our house. He was still asleep. I got out of the car, my muscles aching. I decided not to bother waking Chester up, he had been through enough today. Instead, i picked him up bridal-style. He, surprisingly, didn't weigh that much. I walked in the house, carrying him to his room. I laid him down. I felt so fucking bad for him, dragging him along like this. I stroked his hair , before straightening up. A tear streamed down my face. I hate this.
