Haldi-Mehendi

Sadhvi’s POV

I held my mother’s hand who wouldn’t stop crying. She was crying happy tears, my mother was very happy that both of her daughters are now settled and living a happy life.

“Stop it mummy, you are ruining the make-up” I tried wiping her tears clean as she sobbed in front of me, her nose red and eyes puffy,
“I am so happy, it’s like every responsibility of mine is done except for Sanidhya, I mean”

I laughed hugging her,
“He is hopeless if you ask me”

She herself laughed at that,
“No deny to that”

I cupped her cheeks kissing them,
“I need to go the grooms side now, the haldi is about to start. You will be okay on your own or should I ask Rajveen to stay with you?”

She patted my back,
“I will be fine, and you need to stop pampering me. Go”

I beamed, “I am so excited you know?”

She laughed wiping her face completely once again and following my gaze.

Together we looked at a happy Meheka, talking giddily to her friends. My sister was glowing, shining, there was this smile on her face that wouldn’t seemed to stop ceasing since the past week.

I smiled once again at my mother and went to my brother in law’s side of the function.

I met Rajveen in between the way to the groom’s side,
“You look amazing” I complimented the lady in orange

“Oh you look rather ravishing, my woman” Rajveen winked at me. I laughed,
“Kids with their grandmother?”

“Yes, she just arrived this morning and I rushed here almost without a second thought”
we both moving in opposite directions, Rajveen to brides’ side and me to the groom’s

“So eager to leave my kids behind, I see” I pointed now entering the backyard where the function was

“Sadhvi, hurry here” Mom called me as soon as I appeared in the lawn

Rajveen laughed,
“Temporary bliss doesn’t hurt much”

I smiled at her and joined the group of ladies singing folk songs. I touched the feet of elders and joined a few of my age dancing a little with them.

“Sadhvi, you are the Bhabhi so you will be applying haldi on him after me and don’t forget to ask for your neg later”

I winked smirking at her,
“I am not planning to either. I have a huge amount in plan”
