25. Time To Go

The day was here, the day that Suga had to leave Sinclair Inn. No matter how much he had tried, he could not extend his stay in Jeju & had to get back to Seoul where his team was.

Suga's POV:

For the first time in his life, Suga wanted to extend his leave & pause his life for some time. He had never felt this way. As much as he loved his work & his team, he found himself wishing that he could stay here in Angel's presence just a bit longer.

At first, he had just been attracted to her physically, but as time had passed, he had slowly gotten to know the amazing person she was inside & his fondness for her grew every day. It had just been a few days since he had known her, but he felt a deep sense of peace & fulfillment whenever he was with her... He felt that he finally found the piece of puzzle that had missing from his life.

He really didn't want to go. But duty called.

Angel's POV:

Angel woke up in a state of despair. Even though it was sunny outside, life suddenly looked super gloomy.

In her mind she was perfectly aware of reality – she knew that Suga was there only as a guest in their inn. She knew that he was staying only for a few days. She knew that their meeting & relationship was strictly professional. Finally, she knew that in her life, Suga was like the horizon - bright, full of hope & promise.... but unreachable. Just as no one can ever reach the horizon, she was aware that she could never have Suga in her life as well.

But the heart is a strange creature. Even after knowing the reality fully well, Angel felt her heart breaking. She felt a deep sense of loss.

Why? Because unexpectedly & surprisingly, she had found a warm camaraderie & comfort in Suga's presence. For reasons unknown to her, Angel somehow felt that Suga was a person she could rely on in life. She had been a support for everyone around her for so long, she needed someone to depend on as well... someone who she could lean on. And she had felt that she had found that in the last few days.
