I once was on my way back home for Christmas when I saw a man standing out in the snow, his thumb sticking out to signal for a ride, so I decided to be a good samaritan and stop, the man getting in gratefully.

We drove off and I asked him where he was heading, the man telling me that he was heading towards my home town. I smiled and turned my head towards him, wanting to tell him that it was my home town too, but I froze in my spot when I saw the blue, frost frozen face of my brother, whose body we never found, looking back at me through dead eyes.
