The Mysterious Ring

The Voice

The darkness is getting thicker by every second. But you can tell it's a surface. Ivan stared walking straight as he keep groping. He tries to grip on something solid but every single direction he spreads his hand he can grab only thin air. Suddenly he heard a metallic sound on floor, as some solid metal fell on solid floor. Wait but there is no floor under his foot. Ivan felt like he's standing in space. And just in less than a second he realises that, his balance fumbled and he fell into the deep darkness echoing that screech voice asking "Help".

Ivan threw his eyes open. "Not again" he muttered. He's getting an insomnia day by day. These nightmares are the only reason of his bad mood for few months. He couldn't even tell about it to his parents as they are busy with the kingdom. Even though he'd go for a discussion for his headaches they'd either become worried or won't listen to him. Both of which he don't want to face. His father asked him to not behave rude with the servants but he can't help. Little things started to get into his nose which he didn't even pay attention. He was not like that from the beginning, he's the most humble arround his mates and friends. But most irritating to Ivan is that his own father don't really bother to notice what he became and what he actually was.

All of these happening because of  that Safari, the forest along side of their kingdom. That creepy place must has something wrong inside it.

It's about a few months ago, Ivan and his mates went their for practicing archery. All of them were chasing deer and  wild boars. Ivan was chasing a king size deer and it took him to the south part of the forest. Ivan knew it was forbidden to go there but an intense madness was ruling over his mind. He was determined to hunt that rare piece.

He galloped his horse behind it running through the rough path of the south Safari. Silver was running so fast that Ivan couldn't see clearly what comes on his front and almost bashed into a branch, but thankfully Silver was really intelligent to pull a break just in front of the branch. Ivan patted his horse and said "You're my real mate Silver". Then took the side path and started running again. The deer was running through the deeper woods that it was getting hard to follow it. Ivan saw a broken gateway of a cavern towards which the deer was going. "It's going towards death on it's own" Ivan thought as he reached for an arrow and attached it on his bow to take the aim.

But his to astonishment the deer stopped and turned to Ivan. He got shocked when it turned into a winged creature. It's body turned into gold and horns turned silver. Ivan looked at the eyes it started burning red flames. And gradually a bone covered with feathers started growing from it's back. In a second it came to its full form and took off its hoof in the air and thudded it into the earth. Ivan couldn't close his eyelids as he saw the winged creature started its way to him. Then it dashed to Ivan like a lightning and in a second he found himself lying on the ground. His back got numbed and he felt he couldn't move his legs. He tried to get up but when he raised his head he directly contacted with the creature's glowing eyes and then felt like a gust of wind passed through his eyes and he blacked out on the spot.
