I rubbed my temples intently while staring at the notepad in front of me. It was the suspect list I'd developed on who graffitied the principal's car. I had five suspects: Choi Yeonjun, Choi Soobin, Choi Beomgyu, Huening Kai, and last but not least: Kang Taehyun.

"Really? That's all you've got?" Jiwoo asked. As president of the journalism club, it was her job to oversee all my work.

"Even if it's not them, they probably know who did it." I responded.

She gave me a doubtful look before finally leaving my side. I sighed and got up, preparing to interview the five. First, I sought out the youngest, Huening Kai.

Approaching the music room, I pressed my ear against the door to confirm my suspicions. I pushed the door open, and just as I thought, Kai sat playing the piano in the corner. He looked up slightly at me when I walked in, never stopping his playing.

"Huening Kai, right?" I asked shyly.

"And you are?" He asked, ignoring my question. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"Lee Jia. I'm a second year, like you." I explained. He nodded and finally stopped his playing, looking expectantly at me. "Oh, right. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions? It's for an article I'm righting in the school newspaper."

"About what?"

"I'll tell you if you agree to the interview." I bribed him. He hesitated momentarily, but his curiosity seemed to get the better of him.

"Okay." He agreed. I smiled at my accomplishment and pulled a nearby chair next to the piano.

"You're on record." I stated, pulling out my legal pad and my phone to record. He furrowed his eyebrows but seemed to be slightly amused. "Did you know that the principal's car got graffitied last night?"

"Oh, so that's what this is about." He laughed. "I had nothing to do with it."

"I never said you did. But I think you might know someone who did."

"And what makes you think that?" He smiled.

"I've asked around, and some people saw you and your friends hanging kinda late around the parking lot last night." I explained.

"Who said that?" He asked, his voice laced with suspicion.

"An anonymous source." I answered. "So what were you guys doing that late?"

"We were just hanging out." He shrugged.

"And when did you leave?"

He tapped his chin playfully. "Hmm, let's see. School ends at four, we went to the store, then to the parking lot. We probably left around six."

"What'd you get at the store?"

"Just some snacks."

"Do you happen to have a receipt for them?" I questioned.

"Uh, Taehyun probably has it, or he threw it away." He answered.

"When you left, was there anybody else in the parking lot?"

"Yeah, there were some other guys there. They stayed a little longer than us. I think one of them was that guy, Cha Eunwoo?"
