THE UPRISING (PART ONE OF DEVI SERIES)

Chapter 3 THE PAST

With the so-called jump into the bright white light I was teleported to a different place.

It was no longer small tents and weird creatures but ancient.

The place was mystical. Filled with purity and fragrance of flowers in the air and the beautiful scenery in front of my eyes for a moment it felt like a child's dream

The place had majestic forts on a mountain surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Suddenly I heard a loud commotion and saw a harras of horses coming towards me fast.

I panicked with nowhere to go and nothing to protect me. I ducked and curled into a ball with my eyes closed.

I could feel the earth trembling with their feets and in my mind i have already accepted death and started to calculate whether i will go to heaven or hell(most probably hell)

But to my relief and surprise the horses went through me . 

They went through me like I wasn't there. 

I was shocked and was not able to comprehend what just happened.

With confusion and other 100 sorts of weird emotions and questions in my mind I started walking towards the fort in the search of answers.

No one and I repeat no one was able to see me and I was not able to grab or touch anything, it just seems like I am a ghost that can't scare anyone. I mean who would get scared with this pretty face.But i saw the things that the merchants were selling and nothing resembles anything that belongs to 2000 let alone 2020 .I kept on walking and soon reached the gates of the fort.

I mean I am not a religious person but I loved mythology. I mean don't get me wrong but the stories and the legends are interesting. They have everything a good story needs.Romance, action, betrayal, humour all in a balanced manner and hence i have read about a lot of hindu legends.

The gate of the fort resembles the fort of lord indra. It had the very same elephant with eight trunks embeded of the gate. The pillars of the fort were composed of diamonds.

I went inside the fort where I could see some huge man. 

Many magistically built figures and almost 15 feet tall men sitting and discussing something very seriously. Everybody was dressed in a very old fashioned yet stylish manner.Oriented with gold and silver jewellery and saffron dhoti except for the person sitting in front.

Wearing a big crown on his head ,burly man with a prominent, handsome nose, good lips, a handsome chin, a long neck, a big belly and strong arms, ornamented with a lot of gold jewellery.He resembled a lot to the description of Lord Indra from the Rig veda

"This is impossible, how can they breach the wall" said Lord indra

I don't know that sir but all i know is it is breached" said one soldier

Lord Indra started to say something but paused in between. Although thinking the expression on his face suggested that he is scared and someone just took medusa head and petrified him(sorry crossover XD)

IT'S TIME" he said

But, lord the enchantments are not complete and we are not even sure if this wont turn against us. Are you absolutely sure? "Exclaimed a soldier

We don't have any other option, i mean everything would be lost if we don't do anything now and this is our last hope" saying this lord indra started moving and like a flock of sheep everybody started following him and so did i.

With utter silence during the whole walk. I tried studying everyone's expressions and it was all the same.

Beautiful faces with battle scars. I figured that the scenario is very tense because the expression scared and tense is written over in clear words of the pale faces of the soldiers as well as lord indra.

Soon we went into a room that looked like a lab. An experiment lab but the only similarity to a lab here was the fact that I can mean weird liquid in tubes flowing here and there.

The lab was huge and in the center of it was like a human naked.

It was a girl probably of my age. The face of the girl was very familiar. I know that I saw her somewhere but I can't seem to remember where.

The girl's body was punchered with weird liquid flowing into her body constantly.

"WHAT IS THE STATUS MAHARISHI YAMIKANAND" asked lord indra impatiently

"THE SUBJECT'S BODY IS STILL RELUCTANT , I FEEL IT NEEDS MORE TIME" Said maharishi

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME MAHARISHI. WE NEED HER READY BY THE NEXT HOUR OR ALL OF US WILL BE DOOMED" Said lord indra in a very loud voice. The voice was so loud that probably there enemies would have heard it too

"I WILL TRY MY BEST LORD INDRA"Said maharishi with tension on his face.

Maharishi started ordering his companions and started running through the whole lab .

"UTH JAA  BETI UTH JAA HUME TERI ZARRORAT HAI (WAKE UP DARLING WAKE UP WE NEED YOU)" said maharishi while waving a hand over the head of the girl's body

Meanwhile lord indra started waking out of the lab.

I don't know why but I didn't want to leave this lab. Looking at that girl and then at maharishi gave a very tingling sensation.The sensation was very familiar , it almost felt like I knew them, I knew both of them personally. But in the pursuit of finding the truth I sheepishly followed lord Indra to our next stop.

NEXT STOP:- THE DUNGEONS THAT LOOKS VERY CREEPY NGL

Being a mythological enthusiast I have read a lot about different mythologies and this place looked exactly like the mines where cyclops would crave weapons for the olympians and half bloods.But instead of cyclops dwarfs were here.

As soon as lord indra entered everybody stopped working and started looking at their boss.

He was nothing like those wicked little bastards. With a weird yet impressive aura around him. Named Aditya, his expression was unimaginable. With such a violent yet peaceful eyes and an elegant walk he approached lord indra.

"Adi  my man, is the work done?"

"Is the helm ready?" Asked indra in a very polite tone

"Yes , the helm is ready all i need is the host and the power she will have will be unimaginable" said Aditya

But I have already told you ,you need to be extra sure ,one wrong move could lead all of us to annihilation" said Aditya. His crimson blue eyes showcased the fear he was feeling.

The expression of Aditya even scared me.

"I know brother but there is no other way, the Devi is our only last option" said Lord indra. His voice was shaking and I could feel how helpless he was feeling by just listening to his voice.

Boom…….Boom….Boom

I heard three loud shots and immediately we all ran outside the dungeon

The sky turned orange and so does the expression of everybody around me.

Lord Indra whistled and soon i can see aryavat , the eight legged elephant emerge out of nowhere

"Brother the war has begun" he said and flew away

"Lord Indra but…." I SHRIEKED

But instead of his reply all i saw was the same white light
