Xingqiu made sure to get to Mt. Tianheng extra early in order to plan. He was freaking out on the inside, how was he supposed to tell Chongyun about how he felt anyways? Xingqiu just felt like an awkward mess. He was pacing back and forth on the tall mountain and the sun still hadn't begun to rise so it was somewhat dark. Xingqiu let out a sigh and sat down on the lush, green, grass that lay underneath him. The moon was a simple crescent and shone brightly in contrast to the dark sky.

"Hey." A voice spoke from behind him. Xingqiu turned to face Chongyun. The young exorcist wore a soft smile on his face. "Hey there, 'yun." Xingqiu invited Chongyun to sit beside him with a simple hand gesture. The two stayed silent for a while as the sun slowly peeked over the ocean. Xingqiu couldn't help but notice how close their hands were, their fingertips were barely  a fraction of a centimeter away from each other. Chongyun seemed to take note of a change in Xingqiu's behavior and closed the gap between their two hands.

The young exorcist smiled joyfully as Xingqiu blushed and turned his head. "Is there something wrong?" Chongyun asked, clearly concerned. "O-oh, well, it's nothing. D-don't worry!" Xingqiu tried a fake smile but Chongyun wasn't letting it slide. "Something's wrong and I know it, don't try to hide it, Xingqiu." Chongyun was beginning to get anxious from Xingqiu's lack of cooperation.

Xingqiu tightened his grasp around Chongyun's hand in his fit of nervousness. The sun now cast a full sunrise in the distance as Xingqiu sighed. "Well, the thing is..." Xingqiu began, "I like you, Chongyun. As in, more than a friend." Chongyun didn't move, or seem to be taken aback. "I'm sorry." He said, "I don't think I understand what you mean." Xingqiu flinched, his eyes began to sting, "Oh... I-I'm sorry, just... just pretend I never said that, ok?" Xingqiu slowly, yet reluctantly, let go of Chongyun's hand, his eyes feeling damp and his vision beginning to fog.

"You didn't let me finish..." Chongyun said quietly. "W-what do you need?" Xingqiu asked, his voice still sounding choked from his sadness. Chongyun took a deep breath before speaking, "What I wanted to say was,... I don't think I understand what you mean, but I would be more than willing to learn to understand." The exorcist smiled softly, the golden rays of the sun reflecting off his face, making him look only more beautiful. "Are you sure?" Xingqiu whispered, although there was no reason to do so.

Chongyun nodded happily, enlightened by the fact That Xingqiu was in fact, happy. Chongyun wanted Xingqiu to be even more happy, however. He wanted Xingqiu to smile like he meant it. They were both close either way so... Chongyun reached his left hand up to cup Xingqiu's cheek. They could feel each other's breath, their body heat meshing together in the moment. Before the two knew it, they were kissing. It only took about 2 to 3 seconds but it felt great. The way they connected, was different in that moment.

Xingqiu smiled, it was the biggest smile he had ever worn. "I guess our hearts fell to love, eh?" Xingqiu said, somewhat sarcastically. "Yeah,..." Chongyun said.

"They really have, huh?"
