The Howling Fate

Chapter 2

Grey's POV

After taking care a lot of pack business, I give myself a break so I decided to take a run in the woods. Letting my wolf In control, is like my freedom place these past few years. It's been 7 years since I do my first shift, and its been 7 years of finding her - my mate. My wolf howl in a thought that until now I wasn't able to find my mate, I need my mate, my wolf's need a mate. We both need a our mate.

After a long run, I decided to have a quick shower. I went to the bathroom and take a warm bath, I let the warm water flow down to my body, wishing it could somehow wash away the thoughts that makes me more stress. After taking a bath, I went downstairs to eat. Luckily, my mom is here to cook food for me.
I saw my Dad hugging my mom's back while cooking. Dad really found a perfect mate like mom. I am so happy for them. I don't want to distract them, so I am about to go back upstairs while my father called me.

"Grey" his thunderous voice is really scary, if I have one person to be scared of, that is my father. Even though he gave me the position of being an Alpha , I still respect and look up in to him.

"Yes , father"

"I heard that the Alpha of the silver moon pack is arranging a peace talk to you, is that true?"

"Yes, we encounter his Beta at the border last week, he told us that Alpha Agon wants to talk to me, why?" I ask him eagerly,.

" Don't give your full trust to him Grey,.. You already know Agon, he is more than a werewolf, sometimes he is also a snake" he warned.

" I already know that dad. I am just doing this to know his flaws,. Remember, keep your friends close but keep your enemy's closer'' ,.I look directly to his eyes and smirk

"Just keep your words ,young man. Don't put our Pack in danger" he growls at me.

My mom growls back at him as a response.

"Don't treat our son like that, Xymon. He may be an alpha now but he is still our pup." My mom glares at my father. I like the way my mom protects me, I smiled in the thoughts that my father is scared of her but the thing that she still treat me like a baby, is a little bit disgusting.

"Mom, Im not a pup anymore.. I am now a big he - wolf and later on, I can find my mate and have my own family" I reasoned

"Don't you dare to raise you voice at me young man, I am still your mother. And by the way, you better find your mate as soon as possible,. I want to have a lot of grandkids" she giggled and put her hands on her face like she imagine herself being a grandmother.

"Illusions can kill werewolves mom, so you better stop it" she poke me with her laddle and I just laughed. My father growls at me and my mother just glared at him .

"Just eat boy, I know your hungry.."my mom change the subject and put the plate on the table  . I smiled at her then say thank you. She grabs my father's wrist and went to their room.

"I wish I can find you now" I whisper to the air, hoping that the moon goddess can hear my despair.
