My light has faded
Just as the sun does every night,
At times it appears jaded,
But try as I might
I can never harness its fire
Even as it never leaves my mind's sight
And at times I wish I was its sire,
But then I remember
They call him 'King',
And he bows whilst he ordains me 'Queen',
Yet does it matter when we're spelled to fall like cards?
So every morning as I glance in the mirror,
Only to perceive myself through glass shards
It hits me that we are not the same
As I can never be the flame
Because I am the hurricane
That they will never have the power to contain;
And while they murdered our Grace
And sent her back covered in ribbons and lace
No one identifies the Ghost
That lurks in front of our eyes
Never waiting for the clearing of the coast
So that he may attack and break all of the ties
That keep us bounded here,
And prepare us for slaughter as if we are deer.
The King kneels tall,
Knowing that he has lost it all;
His Queen has gone down
Not before she has won him the crown;
Yet she lies on the ground,
With the King bearing her crown,
Because by duty he is bound
To not let his family drown
Yet what is this 'King' without his Queen?
Nothing,
A pretender,
A failure,
Or is he all of that and more?
It is impossible to be quite sure,
Perhaps he is a peacock unable to preen
As he let them be hunted
While the Commander was shunted
So what now of Potere?
What of Lealtà?
Were they even there?
Or had they vanished like the Poison's neonata?
Suddenly it all makes sense
Why all situations are so tense,
It is because there is no more Onore
Which bestows the Demons with such allure
That they strip away la Fiducia
And prepare the katyusha,
That promises a bloody war
And guarantees that there shall be a reign no more.

Author's Note: Hi everyone! I had another poem that I wished to share with you all and this poem is actually dedicated to an unbelievably amazing author on this platform, taintedkissesxo. Any references to this fantastic author's characters belong to the author herself. This poem is not written to take credit for any of her writing or her characters, rather I mean for this poem, in a way, immortalize them more on this platform (if that makes sense). This poem does not do justice to any of this author's characters, but I felt moved to write this poem based on her writings. Also, this poem is not expressly meant to describe or detail the plot of any character(s) in taintedkissesxo's novel and most of the plot in this poem are based on my thoughts of what I think may happen in the story as it goes on. With that in mind please tell me what you, as a reader, think of this poem! I really want to hear your thoughts and suggestions as to how I can improve. It would really make my day and night :).
P.S. if you think this poem deserves it then if you could please even consider giving it a vote (by clicking the little star on the corner of the page) then that would be nice, but I mainly want to hear my reader's or readers' (if I get that lucky 🍀) thoughts/opinions on this little snippet of writing!

RandomThis book may never have the "complete" status on it and that is what I hope for. This is just some poetry that I write when I feel inspired by a Wattpad story, chapter, scene, and/or character(s), or by someone/something in my own life. Well that's...
