Ruby recognized us immediately, she stood up, her face surprised. Keila pushed past me, almost knocking me down, and made her way into the room. She walked towards the desk Ruby was sitting at.

" Keila.. " Ruby started.

Keila slapped her so hard, I could hear it from where I was standing. Ruby let out a silent scream and stumbled backwards, holding her cheek which was slowly turning red.

" Don't fucking talk to me. "

Ruby looked at her hand, then looked back up at Keila. Her face turned to a frown, and she shoved Keila, knocking her down and into the desks. Zachary made his way into the room, and I followed him.

Keila sat up immediately, and Ruby jumped on her, trying to choke her.

They loved eachother, why were they doing this? Don't tell me this will turn into me and Jacob type shit.

Keila kicked at her stomach, making Ruby cough multiple times. Ruby looked at someone else in the room, and they threw her something. It was a knife. I ran towards them, reaching my arm out towards Keila.

Ruby brought down the knife into Keila's stomach. She let out a painfully loud scream, kicking at Ruby and attempting to strangle her.

That's it.

I had snapped.

I was pissed.

I leaped onto Ruby, throwing her off Keila. Zachary rushed to her. Ruby attempted to push me off, but I slammed her wrist into the floor.

" Step back. " I heard a voice say from behind me.

I got off of her and backed up. She slowly stood up, rubbing her wrist.

Zachary went up from behind her, the knife she used to stab Keila in his hands. He grabbed her shoulder calmly, and put the knife to Ruby's neck. Before she could say anything, Zachary had slit her throat open, and dropped her to the ground.

Ruby fell to the ground, lifeless, her eyes opened with surprise. Her throat was bleeding out, and tears were forming in her lifeless eyes. Zachary looked at the knife, and wiped her blood off it, getting his hands covered in it.

I stared up at him, not being able to move. He just murdered someone, in a.. gruesome way. I stared at him blankly, shocked.

Keila was sitting up, looking at Ruby's body with tears in her eyes. Keila had loved Ruby, and I know she hated her after seeing her being with this company.. but how could she handle this?

I walked towards Keila and bent down, giving her a side hug. I know how it feels to lose somebody. I lost many people in my life.

" It'll be alright. " I whispered.

" It'll be alright... it'll be alright..?! " Keila yelled out, pushing me off.

Zachary looked down at her, finally realizing there were other people around him.

" I just found out my girlfriend was part of this creepy ass company and then I watch her get murdered..! You think everything will be okay..!? " Her hands were shaking, and she was struggling to find words.

" I think it'd be best if we go. " Zachary spoke up.

Obviously you fucking idiot.

We walked home in silence, Keila was still shaking, making it hard for her to walk in the heels she had on. She held her stomach, which was still bleeding. I ripped off a piece of my shirt and offered it to her, for her to use as a bandage. Zachary was silent. He acted like nothing had happened, when he just murdered a girl.

Soon enough, we arrived back at the cabin. Keila opened the door, and saw Cara and Liz at the table, with Zane and Mint on the couch.

" Hey, you're back! " Cara called out.

" Are you alright? " Zane asked, standing up.

Keila walked towards her room, but Liz grabbed her arm.

" Keila? " Liz said.

" Let go of me. " Keila responded, shaking her arm until Liz let go.

Keila walked to her room, and slammed the door shut. Yikes. That must've been how I was like after killing Jacob.

" What happened? " Mint asked, her eyes following Keila.

" Nothing. " Zachary responded, putting the bloody knife in his pocket.

" Really? " Liz said, glaring at me.

" We'll tell you later. I... I need to sleep. "

" It's 3:56 PM.. " Cara spoke up.

I walked to my room, and locked the door behind me. I threw myself onto the bed, and stared at the ceiling.

Another friend, dead. I closed my eyes. Soon enough, it'd probably only be me. I couldn't let that happen. I'd protect them with my life. I sat up.

I had to.
