.Breaking The Curse.

Chapter One

"Hey, Keira" I said as she walked up to my locker, which I was getting into. She just nodded, letting me know she knew I was here and I greeted her. I rolled my eyes and grabbed a book out of my locker, it didn't have a title, my grandma said it was some sort of witchcraft and told me to be careful, before she passed away. "Look what I got" I said and Keira looked up from her phone and groaned.

"Fine, tell me what the dumb books about" She replied dryly, Keira can be a bit of a bitch sometimes, but she's one of my closest friends.

"Its about mythical creatures, they're all in here, werewolves, vampires, witch-" I began but Keira cut me off mid sentence.

"Damn Alexis, I don't give a fuck about your stupid myths book, they're all just fairy tales" She scolded and began to text again.

"I never said they were, but I never said they weren't, they could be, I mean, there must be some reason somebody came up with them, I say there's about a fifty percent chance that they're real" I retorted, it gets annoying when she just snaps at me all the time.

"Fine, then read me something, I bet it'll sound ridiculous" She replied and looked up at me once again.

I opened the book and the first thing I come across are werewolves, " Werewolves are people who change  into this giant wolf, no, they don't look like beast, they're beautiful creatures, but very dangerous. They mostly change during the full moon, but once they become well known of their powers, they can change anytime they want." I finish and look at her, she rolled her eyes at me, she needs to get an imagination.

"Bullshit" Was all she said, then did a hand motion, letting me know to keep on reading.

I flipped a few more pages, until I landed on witches, " A witch is a woman with powers, good or bad, witches are mostly beautiful, unlike what people make them out to look like, they don't have wort's, or green skin, they look just like us, beautiful. Then there's Wizards, basically a witch, but male form, wizards are very charming. Both can be very dangerous." I finished and she rolled her eyes.

"You done now?" She asked and I nodded. "Finally, okay, after school today, you, me, Amber, Lizzy, and Kye are going to go up to my family's lake house, I need you to tell Kye and Amber when you see them, and you're gonna have to get a ride because Lizzy and I are taking my car" Keira said that walked off.

Another ridiculous party I presume, great.

I groan and grab my bag, close my locker and go Language Arts.

"Okay class, today you will partner up, I'm going to let you choose partners this time, don't screw it up" Ms. Brookings says as she passes out the work sheets with the instructions. Apparently we have to build a model of our favorite book, or at least one that our partner's agree to.

"Alexis, you're my partner" a familiar voice says behind me. I smile then turn around.

"I don't know, are you sure you can handle me, I mean, we both know I take this stuff very seriously, Kye"  I teased and he rolled his eyes and sat beside me. "Besides, wouldn't you partner up with Sarah instead, I mean, she is your girlfriend after all" I questioned.

"Sarah isn't here today, besides, cant I spend time with my best friend?" He retorted.

I rolled my eyes, "So, what book do you want to build? I was thinking something simple, I don't really have an idea for the book, but I figured it should be something we can easily build and design" I explained, looking at him, waiting for his response.

"Uh, I don't know, you're the one who reads all the time, you figure it out, I'll help build it" He replied and pulled out his phone and I rolled my eyes.

"Oh yeah, Kye, Keira wants you, me, her, Lizzy, and Amber to go to lake house for the weekend" I say as i look for a book in my bag.

"And her parents are allowing this?" he looked up from his phone and watched as i took several books out of my bag.

"Why are you so surprised? Its not the first time" I reply as I look at three different books.

"Hey, what about that big brown one, it doesn't have a title and its pretty plain, it should be easy to build" he said and pulled the book out of my bag.

"You think we would get a good grade from that?" I ask and stare at the book.

"Well we will be giving essay's as well, so sure why wouldn't we?" he answered and started flipping through the pages. I grab the book out of his hands.

"Fine, whatever, oh, and do you think you can give Amber and I a ride to the lake house, Keira's taking her small ass car and it will only fit her and Lizzy".

"Sure, okay, see ya later loser" he joked and punched my arm and walked off.

"Em just saying, I mean why are you dating Sarah, she hates all of us, and its pretty obvious you have a thing for Alexis" Keira says while she pokes at her salad. Her and Kye are arguing again.

"Keira, he doesn't have a thing for anyone besides Sarah, you're just upset because you're the only single one at this table besides me", I say as Amber takes a seat across from me, "Where is Matthew anyways Amber?"

"He had a doctors appointment" Amber replies and looks over and Keira and Kye.

"Hey, Amber did Alexis invite you to my weekend getaway at hotel Keira?" Keira joked and flung a tiny tomato at Kye. Kye grabbed it, stood up and went behind her and shoved it down her shirt then went and took a seat and stuck his tongue out at her.

"Uh, no" Amber replies and looks at me with a pouty face.

"I was going to, I haven't had any classes with you" I defended myself and put my hands up and Amber just laughed.

"Yeah well, you two are riding with me, I'm picking you guys up at five" Kye responded with a wink, he's a flirt when Sarah's not around.

"Great, we have to ride with the trash, better bring my air freshener" Amber said dramatically and smirked when he glared at her.

"Well, its either you ride with the trash or you aint going, miss Amber" He said. Before Amber could respond Lizzy walked up.

"Hey, sorry I was talking to Mr. Luis, what have a missed so far?" she asked as she sat down beside me.

"Oh, you know, the usual, Keira and Kye arguing and a lot of teasing, aren't we just a great bunch of delinquents?" Amber said amused.

"Very" Lizzy responded.

"So I was thinking we could ditch the rest of the day, go home back our bags then go to the lake house, no one will notice anyways" Keira suggested, or more like a demand, and stood up.

"I'm in" Kye says and stands up as well. Amber and Lizzy nod and I just stand up. Lizzy and Keira walk off.

"You're our ride, Kye, lets go" I said and Amber and I linked arms and he rolls his eyes.

"Girls are strange" he muttered.

"That's why you hand out with only girls" Amber teased and he groaned and we got into his truck.

Hey guys, this took a lot longer then I expected, I've written this story over and over again for last few years, and every time I gotta say I improve, and I hope you all like it okay??
