I walked forward, shaking my head. Sridama would never realize how pure and innocent my Radhe is. I caught up with her, and she gave me an innocent smile. Her doe like eyes were full of laughter and happiness. "I hope to always see you like this, Radhe!" I whispered under my breath. "Huh? Tumne kuch kaha, Krishn?" "Ha? Arre vo kuch nahi. Mai to bas soch raha tha ki Sridama ko ghar dikha kar, usse kuch khila pila kar hi bhejenge." "Krishn, itni sheegrata kyu? Unhe raat ko bhi rukne ke liye bolenge, kuch khel bhi lenge."
Just then, lightning crackled, and thunder boomed. The sky became dark. I eyed the change appraisingly. "Viyog ka samay aa gaya hai, Radhe."
And with that, it started raining. Like nature itself was crying. I gave a sad little smile, and then walked inside the palace. The same palace, which would soon be empty, noiseless. After showing Sridama around, Radha asked "Aao Krishn, aao Sridama, kuch khelte hai." I agreed reluctantly; we were about to play the game which would be the cause of our separation. Niyati ki maang koi nahi taal sakta, shrishti ke rachayta bhi nahi.
Sridama was about to refuse, but then an idea came into his head. "Kyo na ham aisa khel khele, jisme hume maza bhi aaye, aur hamaare sahas ka pradarshan bhi ho jaye? Jisme humaare satya bolne ki shakti sabko dikhe, aur koi jhoot bol hi naa sake? Kyo na hum satya aur sahas ka khel khele?"
And thunder boomed once more. No one seemed to notice. Radha squealed, "Ha, bahut maza aayega!" "Shree Krishn?" "Avashya." And thunder rumbled. Hailstones tumbled down, as we sat down to play the game which would cause the separation of RadhaKrishn, the foundation of this universe.
