Victoria P.O.V:
"OK Mrs.Evans you and your child sunny will participate in court and you sunny-" I said facing the girl." Will have to tell the truth no holding back because we will need your word to send your dad far away for a long time OK?I asked.
"Yes." She said quietly and scared.
"Can I talk to your mom alone for a minute?"
"Yes"
After sunny left I started talking to her mom and explaining what will happen in court and the time to be there. She than left and I then pack up all my stuff going home to get ready for a long,hot bath and a lot of reading.
When I got finish with my bath an paper work I feel into a deep sleep.
*In Court *
"My client will like to testify on her behalf."I told the judge.
"OK. Will the plaintiff please come up to the stand?" The judge asked
When the little girl got to the stand she looked real nervous. The defendant lawyer then ask her questions about what happen.
"Can you tell me what happen from the beginning sunny."
"Yes"
"You can start when you are ready."
"OK.it all started on my 11th birthday. After my birthday party my mom had to get back to work because she was running a tight schedule in her work. After she left me and my dad, we started to clean up and about 9:00pm we finish. When I was about to lay down my dad called for me in his bed room. I got up and went to see what he want when I got there he said 'I got a special surprise for me.' I then got excited until he locked the bedroom door I was confused and a little scared. He than came close and grabbed my butt. I told him to stop but he continue to rub,squeeze, and tap it." She explain.
"Is that all."
"No he than sat me on his bed and put my hands in cuffs and told me if I speak he will hurt me so I silently cried while he took off all my clothes and start touching my private parts and kissing me 'all over' when he finish he said if I told anyone I will die and he will kill my mom. It then continue for about three months and that is when I started fighting and screaming more than usual. He than punch,spit,kick,and slap me. He usualy do it where no one can see like my back,legs,and sometimes my arms." She was blown out crying now.
"OK sunny we heard enough. We will take a 10 minute break while I review the evidence and when we come back I will make my decision."h the judge stated and slammed his malit down and dismissed us from the court room. After everyone I then took my client's to get something to eat.
*10 minutes later*
"OK since everyone's back let's seal this. I sentence the defendant to 18 years in jail and 135 hours probation and he will also have no contact will the plaintiff and her mom an is not to go within 40feet reach to them. I hearby case closed." The judge dismissed everyone.
I drop of my clients and they thank me and was safe. I went home and saw some calls from my mom and just dismiss it and took a shower and fell into a deep sleep.
*The Next Day*
I woke up to my phone ringing. It read
It was my bestfriend "marisa. Marisa is a very popular surgeon.
"Hello?"
"Hey boo what you doing?"
"Nothing.what's up?"
"I was wondering if you want to hang out because I have a free schedule."
"Okay we will meet up Starbucks at 1:00pm on Saturday."
"OK I got to go talk to you later babe."
"OK bye babe."
I then hung up.I got in the shower and put on my spongebob squarepants pajamas and got in the bed.I turned on the t.v and was watching Empire when my phone start ringing. It read:'unknown number' I hesitated and then pick it up.
"Hello?" I then heard the voice that haunted my dreams all these years.
"Hey sweet cheeks don't think I forgot about you.how you been?."
"How you get my number." I asked annoying hes question.
"Oh don't worry honey we will be seeing each other preety soon."
"What are you talking about?"I asked nervously and confused.
"You will know pretty soon bitch remember I keep all my promises."
He then up before I had a chance yo reply. I went to check all my locks on windows and doors. I got back to my room and lock my bedroom door and climbed in bed. I pick up my phone to call Detective Brown.
"Detective Brown talking may I ask who's talking."
"Hi my name is Victoria Rose and you were working for the case of my Ex husband Mr. Brody McNeal."
"Yes Ms.Rose how may I help you?"
"Did Mr.McNeal get out of jail recently?" I asked.
"Yes did nobody inform you?"
"No"
"My apologies and yes he got out last week. Why is something wrong?"
"He just called and threatened me."
"OK calm down we will meet tomorrow at the police department at 9:00am can you do that."
"Yes.thank I will see you tomorrow."
"OK bye"
I hung up and layed down on my bed and cryed myself to sleep thinking of 'him'.
