We meet again

You walked into the Wangshu inn building. You were looking for this Anemo Adeptus guy. You walk around, 'Xiao, was it?' You questioned yourself. You walked up the stairs to see the wonderful view of the mountains from the Wangshu inn building. You were distracted by the view and not realising that someone appeared right beside you.

"Woah.. this place's amazing.." You mumbled. "Indeed it is." Someone agreed, you look beside you to see a green headed boy. "Wh-who are you? and where'd you come from?" You asked in confusion. "My name's Xiao, The Viligant Yaksha. I'm an adeptus." He replied as he looked at the mountains infront of you.

"Oh, you're exactly the person I was looking for." You said. "What do you mean by that mortal?" He asked with no shame. "I came here to look for you." You replied. "For what matter exactly?" He asked. "Well umm.. it's not exactly important, or should I say real business.." You mumbled. "Then why are you looking for me?" He asked, with a calm voice. "Well, I just wanted to befriend you! My brother used to be an adeptus.. but sadly he passed, I aspire to be like him! But the thing is ,I don't think I'm capable of being like him. Anyways, enough of that!" You ramble. "Ahh, I see.. what's your brother's name? Maybe I've we've met before." Xiao said, giving you a soft smile. "His name is Geota." You said passionately, in memory of him.

"Oh, he was a very amazing person. We talked maybe twice in the past. He mentioned his little sister once which I think he was referring to you. By the way, what's your name?" He asked, as he enjoys the breeze of the wind. "My name's y/n! And yes, my brother was indeed an amazing person.." You smile, happily. "Nice to meet you Y/n, but I sadly have to go now. I hope to see you again. Good bye for now." He gave you a warm smile. But before you could reply, he already disappeared. "What an interesting person.." You mumbled to yourself.

~ A few weeks later ~

"Hm, I've seen that you've taken interest in that human?" Zhongli asked as he takes a sip from his cup of tea. "What?" Xiao asked with a confused expression. "You know, the girl that keeps visiting the Wangshu inn." He said as he took another sip from his tea cup. "Are you referring to Y/n?" Xiao asked. "Yes, are you perhaps interested in her?" Zhongli smiled at the flustered boy. "How can you say?" Xiao asked denying his interests. "Well, you always watch her from a high place when she comes by." Zhongli pointed out.

"Yo-you can see me?" Xiao stuttered. "Of course, I can see you from a far." Zhongli implied. "Oh, I see.." Xiao mumbled. "I heard she was around the age of 21" Zhongli informed. "I see.. she's a mortal... I can't just let myself fall for her and let myself get hurt when she dies." Xiao mumbled. "Hm, I see, you're reasoning is quite out of place but I understand you." Zhongli approved.

"But, I do suggest telling her how you feel when her time comes if you do ever fall in love with her." Zhongli said. "Why's that?" Xiao asked. "Have you seen how she looks at you? From my point of view, I think she has already fallen for you." Zhongli theorized. "I see.." Xiao said as his face turned slightly red.

~ The next day ~

You were on your way to the Wangshu inn, when you suddenly saw Xiao passing by, 'What is he doing here?' You wondered.

"Xiao." You called for him. He turned to his side to see you, he did not hesitate to walk over to you. "It's nice to see you again Y/n" He smiled. "Hm, I've never seen you smile before. It's quite unusual but I'd love to see you smile more!" You said while giving him a closed eyed smile which made him blush a little.

"I just want to promise you that I'll protect you no matter what. And if you ever need me, please call out my name and I shall come to you." Xiao promised. "Xiao.. I will!" You smiled at him. 'Why is he telling me this?!' You questioned.

There was silence between the two of you. You just stared at each other's eyes for a few seconds to what seemed like an eternity. "Ehem, I need to go now." Xiao interrupted the eye contact. "U-uhm, right! see you again soon!" You smiled before he disappeared with the wind.
