Smirking in amusement at the sitcom on the television, I find myself chuckling at the corny jokes while taking another bite from my third pizza slice tonight.
Not long ago I took a shower and now I sit back in my favorite spot on the couch eating my dinner and watching some more tv.
I dread the next few minutes to come though because soon, Y/n gets off work and I know this means that she'll want to talk and try to get me to open up again.
A look of displeasure takes over my features as I wish she would just give up on me already. I honestly don't care to be here nor do I care to get to know her.
Sure it's nice that she's giving me a place to stay and food to eat, but I'm already saying thanks for that simply by not making her life a total living hell; which I could very easily do.
I just want to be left alone and for some reason she can't get that through her thick head.
Grumbling beneath my breath I try and re-enforce my peppy mood from before and push away the the thought of the pesky human currently making her way to the front door.
Her scent fills my nose even from her place out in the hall and I cringe at the thought of yet another awkward and unwanted exchange between she and I.
No doubt she'll try and ask me about my day, I'll ignore her per usual, and then she'll try to start a conversation with a similar yet slightly different question such as 'The weathers nice out today huh?'.
It isn't, it never is on this side of town, but that doesn't stop Y/n from talking about it.
The clicking of the dead bolt followed by the rattle of the door knob is all else that signals Y/n's arrival home.
With this I prepare to isolate myself from her with silence...
As she walks inside I force my gaze to remain strictly on the television as to avoid giving her the idea that I want to chat, and for the first time since I got here it seems to work.
I hear her shuffle in quietly behind me, she sighs as she removes her shoes and gently shuts the door behind her but, aside from this she doesn't utter a sound.
Curious as to why she's suddenly so quiet, I dare to peak behind me.
I watch as she walks across the floor behind the couch where I sit. She looks tired I notice, more so than usual. Her eyes appear a bit irritated and puffy and it makes me wonder if she'd been crying.
At first, it looks as if she's heading straight for her bedroom, however, just before she can get past the counter which conjoins the kitchen and living room she stops and stares down at the floor with a slightly unreadable look.
I, curious as to what she sees, glance down to where her eyes have settled as she tucks her disheveled dark hair behind her ears and leans down to pick up the crumpled note she left me off of the floor.
A look of recognition shimmers in my eyes as she stands back up straight and just frowns down at it as it lays in her hand.
She looks to me just as I dare to glance up at her face.
We make eye contact for a moment, and in this moment I feel an immense amount of guilt.
She looks so sad...
Sighing yet again, Y/n looks over to the pizza on the table in front of me.
I avert my gaze and look to my lap awkwardly.
"Goodnight Hoseok." She says, now going to her room with nothing left to say.
And with this I'm left alone once more in the living room wondering why I feel so conflicted despite the fact that I'd just gotten what I wished for...
'What's wrong with me..?'
