I've never written a book before so hinters are welcome. Haters are not. Here goes!!
I'm not going to lie to seem cool, or rebellious. I did not wake up late for my first day of college. I did not hit the snooze forty times. Sorry to disappoint! I woke up on-time and grinned at my reflection. Almost forgot about that! I thought as I pulled my newly pink hair into a high ponytail. I knew that within a week I'd be living in jeans and tshirts. I didn't even manage that long. I threw on my Harry Potter tshirt, a pair of leggings and vans. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs.
I'd moved into the apartment a month before, with a girl called Nia and Jeff. I arrived in the kitchen to find it empty. Nia had a class at 9.05 so she'd already left. A pair of strong arms grabbed me from behind and a voice shouted in my ear. " Morning College kid!" Jeff yelled. "Jesus Jeff! First of all don't call me a kid and secondly, it's too early to be shouting!" He threw his head back and let out a laugh, his hands still around my waist. When he laughed, his face changed. His dimples appeared and his eyes became brighter. Looking at him I just couldn't help but smile.
He kissed me lightly on the lips and went over to make himself breakfast. I knew that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Jeff. I'd known him since we were 4. He was my normal. If he was with me I wasn't nervous.
I ran out the door and walked the short journey to UCD. I grabbed a coffee on the way. As I approached the huge building I gulped. Oh my god. I thought , ok Aim 1 for today is to make one new friend. If I managed that Id be doing ok.
My first class went well. On my way to the second class I got lost, like the kind of lost when you can't even remember the direction of the main entrance. I waited where I was for about 10 mins and when I realised that I was not living in a movie and that no hot guy was going to show me the way, I surrendered and I followed the signs to the school office.HEY! So I'm very amateur and basically quite sh💩t at writing. Hope you like it and be sure to comment I'd love some GOOD feedback.
Thanks! ~niamhiv
