Arena?
I've JUST gotten out of tutoring, and I have to test it now?
I ran to the arenas, another hallway of confusing doors greeting me.
A young man walks by me.
"Hey!" I try to get his attention.
"Huh?" He turns around.
"Where is 5-AG?"
"Right there." He points at me, and before I know it, I get sent flying towards a door.
"Welcome!" The same robot greets me at the door.
"Hello." I mutter walking into the arena.
The arena looked like a classic wrestling ring, with a massive fence keeping an announcer robot in an enclosure.
"Ladies and gentlemen, Robots and...Sapients!"
"Welcome to Arena 5-AG!"
No one cheered.
"Here we welcome our first contestant, Grivvy!"
A burly tall man climbs up to the ring, pounding his chest.
"Grivvy is a Limestone controller! He is known for his no mercy fighting style!"
This time, the entire crowd cheered.
"And welcome our other contestant, Special!"
I somehow get to the ring, kinda just standing there.
"Special controls the mystical element, Starfire, and has a pretty cool starfire arm!"
No one cheers.
"Alright, you know the rules! BAHHH! Who am I kidding, we have none."
That doesn't sound good.
Grivvy slams the ground with his fists, a limestone mace forming in his hands with each pound.
"There it is, the signature Limestone Mace!"
He runs toward me with the mace and throws it behind me.
"You missed?" I mutter.
"I never miss."
The mace turns around, smashing my back.
"GAH!"
"Ooh, that must have hurt!"
In no time, he reaches melee distance, pounding me with a limestone rock.
"Is Special even trying?" The announcer jokes.
Alright, I've had enough of this.
I conjure my starfire arm, burning through the rock.
I try to aim for his face, but miss and land a singe on his ear.
"Ouch!" He clenches his ear.
Wasting no time, I conjured a starfire orb with the properties to damage, fly, and explode.
I throw it into his stomach, exploding in a matter of seconds.
"Wooh!" I wipe sweat off my forehead.
But he wasn't down.
He seemed to block it with some limestone, and threw a rock above my head.
Then he jumped to the rock, knocking it down with his fists.
I try to block it with my starfire arm, but it goes right through it, essentially becoming a meteor.
"Ah!" It lands straight into my face, burning it.
In the time I couldn't see, he threw 5 more rocks.
I opened my eyes to see all of them flying towards me.
I quickly make a long square of starfire to protect, and reflect.
It doesn't reflect, but it blocks 4 of the rocks.
The one rock that flew through hits me in my real hand, rendering it useless.
"Special seems down for the count, his hand being broken!"
The crowd cheers.
I needed to control, but with my hand broken, I couldn't do much.
"Give up, star boy." Grivvy starts forming a limestone hammer.
"There it is! The Limestone Pounder!"
He rushes at me, hammer behind his back, as if he is ready to swing really hard.
I had to try it.
I conjured my starfire arm, and formed it into a blade.
I leap over him, aiming for his hammer behind him.
"Hahh!" I cut the hammer in half, leaving him open.
He quickly turns around, punching me straight in the stomach.
"Ouch, that looks like that's it for Special!"
The robot was right.
I got knocked out soon after.
"Wake up kid." A middle aged voice muttered.
I open my eyes to see myself back at the front of the casino.
"You lost 50 chips and are down to 20."
The man disappeared soon after.
"Seems like you ain't doing too good Special." Olo pats my back.
"I've got enough for the both of us to head out, you wanna go?"
No way.
"That was so fun!" I exclaim.
"Yeah, I knew it." Olo eyes seemed to shine.
"And we can't leave without finding out the secret of this place."
"You're right."
"Let's go do some fightin' shall we?"
I run to a blackjack table, quickly winning 20 extra chips.
"Special, meet up at Arena-SSS."
The bustle of the casino fell silent.
What could be at Arena-SSS?
I walk to the arena rooms, trying to find the young man again.
"Hey!" I find him.
"Huh?"
"Can you send me to Arena-SSS?"
He looks at me with a bewildered look on his face, and points to a room with gold embezzled lights, not flying me there this time.
I walk over and run into the room.
"Hello Special." An ominous voice bellows.
A Middle aged man with a military uniform and huge spider-like appendages sticking out of his back comes from a shadowy corner. His hair looked like it was constantly aware of something.
With a snap of his fingers, the room turns flat.
"Look who I got here." He holds...
"Shell!" Shell's body looked horrible, with scars and bruises all over her.
Her face was beaten and her hair was shaggy.
"Funny story, this girl wouldn't say anything!" He showed his toothy smile.
He threw her onto the ground, punching her in the face.
"So, I beat her up. Bet you aren't happy about that."
"You...!" I jumped towards him, conjuring an orb around my fist with the properties to damage and explode.
"Ah ah ah!" He grabs my fist with his hand, covering it with webs.
He then throws me against the wall, knocking the wind out of me.
He grabs me in a chokehold.
"The name's Gres."
"Gres Luck."
"And guess what! You're out of it."
