The day we met | Dean Portman x reader

~Chapter 5 ~

On the plane ride to California, you sat in a middle seat. On the left next to the window was Averman, and the seat to your right was empty. But little did you know that seat was soon to be taken. You that out your Walkman and began to put your headphones on. The you heard rustling on the side of you.
"Oh hey Dean. DEAN?!" You say a little loudly. People on the plane look at you.
"Sorry" you say with a small chuckle
"Hey, sweetie" Dean says jokingly with a smile. You begin to blush and you turn to Averman and kick him slightly. He smiles at you and looks out the window. Dean sits down and looks at you.
"We're going to be next to each other for the next 3-4 hours. So, we might as well get to know each other better." He said
"Wow, your smart. Well we can start once the plane start to take off." You say
"Okay, I can deal with that." Dean said with a smirk.

~ about 10-15 minutes later ~

"Ladies and gentlemen, the plane will begin to take off shortly. Please follow the directions on the screen in front of you to put in the belts. Please and thank you for your patience." Said the lady on the intercom. You and the guys began to put on the belts.

~ five minutes later ~

The plane begins to take off.
"So, let's start talking since we're off the ground." Dean says looking straight. He turns to you and see that your tense.
"Hey, (Y/n)? Are you okay?" Dean asks you
"Y-yea, I just get a l-little scared when planes go o-off the ground." You say. Dean puts his hand on top of yours and and says jokingly "hey, it's okay. You're knight in shining armor is here." You look at him and smile

Dean POV
When (Y/n) looked at me with her big (y/e/c) I couldn't help but smile. I want to lock my hand with her but I don't know if she'll lock it with me.  I'll do it anyway.

(Y/n) POV
Dean locked his hand with me. I began to blush. I locked my hand with his.
"So, like I said, when we got off the ground we could talk. So, let's talk." You said with a smile
"Okay, so. What's your favorite color?" He asked you with a smirk.
"Umm, I'd say a nice lavender." You say
"Oh, mines black." Said Dean.
"Oh, I could've guessed." You say jokingly. Averman looked at y'all and whispered to you, "looks like you too are getting really comfortable with one another." "I guess so." You responded.
"Ima go to the bathroom, I'll be back." Dean said letting go of your hand and getting up.
"Okay." You say in response. When Dean went into the bathroom, Guy came up next to you and ask "Hey, and you're friends with Connie right?"
"Yes? Why do you need me to talk to her?" You say
"Yes, please. I have a feeling she might like Luis. So, can you do me favor and find out for me please." Guy said
"Of course I would. Anything for a friend." You say. Guy got up and went back to his seat. Dean comes out of the bathroom and sits back down.
"Back to where we were. You ask me a question now." Dean said
"Umm, when's your birthday?" You ask not knowing what else to say.
"April 7th, 2000. Yours?" He said
"(Y/bday), 2001. Damn it you bet me by a year." You say furiously
"Hehe, ok my turn. Hmm, do you play any other sports then hockey?" He asked
"Yep, I do dance." You say confidently.
"Dance isn't a sport." He says while laughing.
"Yes it is, it's harder then hockey sometimes." You say
"No it's not." He says
"Is too" you say annoyed
"Is not" he says back
You too go back and forth.
"Oh my gosh, be quiet love birds." Said Julie
You look shocked. You look at Dean and he's blushing and smirking.

~ about 30 minutes go by ~

You put on your headphones and begin to listen to Ac/Dc. You tap your fingers to the best of the music. You look at Dean and he fell asleep. You smile and decided to take a nap too. After a while, you felt someone shaking you. You wake up slowly while taking off your headphones. When you realized. You were laying on Dean, while asleep.
"Hey, planes about to land." He whispered.
"Okay." You got up and put your stuff in you carry on. The plane lands and everyone begins to get off. The team enters a building where the team was going to stay and Tibbles passes out the uniform that the team had to wear.

~ time skip ~

"Hey, Connie! Wait up." You say
"Hey, (y/n), what's up?" She says. You walk with her behind the team.
"So, Guy wanted to know if you liked Luis because. Well you know he likes you." You say
"Luis is god looking and all but Guy's always had my heart after the kiss we had since the championship game. I wouldn't actually date Luis." Connie says
"Okay, thanks Connie." You say.
"So, what's up with you and Dean?" She said smiling.
"Oh, we're just friends." You say blushing.
"Just friends, huh? I don't think friends look at the way each other the way you guys do." She said
"Well, I think I might have feelings but I want to make sure I do have them before I tell him because I don't want the same thing that happen with John to happen with him." You say
"It's okay, but trust me. Friends don't look at each other that way." Connie said.
