"I still don't get what you even needed a team for Sasuke" Suigetsu stuck his pinky finger into his ear and dug around and found the lump of ear wax that was bothering him. "I mean, what's the point of creating a team if you won't even tell us what we are here for?" Karin looked in disgust at her 'teammate

"Don't question him!" She hit Suigetsu on top of his head and growled when his head turned into water.

"Why? Because you have a crush on him??" she blushed and hit him again.

"Shut up!!" Sasuke mentally rolled his eyes at these idiots. Jugo was the only non-annoying one because he mostly kept to himself or the animals. He only formed this team so he could look for a way to bring Naruto back to life, and unfortunately, he needed someone to bring along. But mostly so he could use them if he was under attack.

"Maybe it's a new scroll he needs? He did say something about a jutsu" Suigetsu suggested before they walked into a random town. They were currently located in the wind country, the village was called 'Take village' because of it being surrounded by a huge amount of bamboo. They needed a place to stay for the night and this was the closest place.

"Uh boss, is it such a good idea to be in such an active village...?" Suigetsu asked and Sasuke ignored. "Well okay then"

"Of course Sasuke's sure! He's so smart!" Karin cheered happily and Suigetsu and Sasuke rolled their eyes.

"Again, you only say that because you have a crush on him"

"Are you saying Sasuke is stupid?!"

"No! I'm just saying you're head over heels for someone who doesn't have the tiniest bit of interest in you" Suigetsu snickered at the look Karin gave him. She looked like she was close to tearing his head off.

They walked up to a decent-looking hotel. They didn't have as much money with them so they had to be cautious of how much they spent. When they entered the hotel there was a teenage boy at the reception desk, He was chewing on his nails. He looked like he was bored out of his mind sitting there behind that desk. Sasuke noticed that the boy's right eye was that of a blind person's, but didn't question it.

"Hello, welcome to Questionable Stays, where we never question what's crawling around in the sheets so don't ask us what it is. How many rooms would you like?" He said not even looking up from his nails.

"Two" Sasuke said simply but it sounded cold enough for the boy to look up. His eyes instantly widened at noticing Sasuke's features, a blush creeping up onto his face.

"U-uh yeah that will be 7000 yen for the night and tomorrow" He shakily reached under his desk to grab two keys and handed them to Sasuke. Sasuke handed him the money and collected the keys, ignoring the huge nervous smile and goodbye wave the boy gave him.

...

"That guy was looking at you like it was love at first sight or some shit" Suigetsu laughed.

"Ew don't say that you idiot! That's gay!" Karin yelled and Sasuke stopped, the stairway they were currently climbing suddenly became cold and Sasuke turned to look at Karin.

"Is that a problem?" He asked.

"Uh..no! Not at all!" She put on a fake smile and shook her head. Sasuke continued walking as well as the rest of them did and Karin let out a huge breath she had been saving. When she looked up she saw Suigetsu silently laughing at her. She growled and continued to stomp up the stairs.

"I can't believe Sasuke took one of the rooms for himself! Selfish little..." Suigetsu angrily turned the key to their room.

"Oh shut up idiot. I'm sure Sasuke just needed alone time" Karin yelled.

Suigetsu grumbled. He'd rather sleep outside than sleep in the same room with this bitch. He looked over to Jugo as he silently walked into the room without complaint. At least he was quiet.

Sasuke left his room to go to the springs that were located behind the hotel. When he finally got there, he took off his clothes, wrapped the fluffy towel around his waist, and sat down in the steaming water. It was so peaceful here, nothing and no one bothering him. Well other than thoughts of Naruto probing through his mind. He needed a way to figure out how to bring Naruto back.

He needed to apologize to him. He wanted him back badly and he'd do anything to get him back.

"U-uh hello" it was the boy from earlier. He sat next to Sasuke, his face was red from all Sasuke's skin showing. "You're the guy from earlier" the boy relaxed more into the water. " Haru, what's your name?" He looked at Sasuke, who Hadn't moved an inch I'mHaru, What's your name?" Sasuke thought about ignoring the guy and hoping he'd go away but his stupid mouth moved on its own.

"Sasuke"

"Woah that's a cool name, were you named after someone?" this time Sasuke was able to ignore him. Haru sighed and looked up at the night sky. "I've always liked the night sky...it makes me think of my past life." "as a shinobi" Sasuke's eyes widened and looked at Haru.

"You were a shinobi?" Sasuke felt himself asking. Haru laughed and nodded.

"I don't look it, do I? I've always been this small....and I got crap for it too. You can't be small and be a shinobi. You could, but it wouldn't do you any good in combat or social interaction with other ninjas." He looked down at the water. "I learned that the hard way"

"What...happened?"

"My comrades.....they told me that I had my own mission to do in the land of water. The mission was to take down a beast that had been terrorizing the civilians, but I had been told it was a simple cat rescuing job so I didn't go with much gear. When I got there, since I wasn't prepared I was nearly killed....ive lost sight in my right eye from that stupid beast. I was rescued by one of the ninjas from there and made it home safe...but when I returned home I became the laughing stock of this village. So I quit"

this made Sasuke look back at the water as well. He knew how cruel the villagers could be. "So now I'm just here with my grandma. It's funny, she still believes that she can somehow convince me to become a shinobi again" he chuckled once more before Sasuke stood up. Haru looked up and blushed harder at the view of Sasuke's body with water dripping down it.

"Go pack your things. You're coming with us" and with that he left the springs, leaving a surprised Haru"

"Daddy! I wanna ride on your back!" Sasuke sighed and crouched down to allow Menma to crawl on his back. "Go horsey!!"

"Hn I'm not a horse" Menma frowned and hit him on his head.

"I said go!" Naruto spit out his water and started laughing. Sasuke glared at Naruto before Menma started pulling on his hair.

"Okay okay, I'm going!" Sasuke started galloping around the house to please the child.
