As always when I walked into Kim Cafe, I felt the warm sensation of home and was immediately greeted by the aroma of sweet coffee and tea. Kim Cafe was a cozy little coffee shop right beneath Bighit Entertainment on the left hand corner, it had a take out station in the front of the building and little drawings of coffee, tea, boba, and inspirational quotes on the glass windows and doors. Kim Cafe not only sold coffee and tea ,but delicious mini pastries, boba, and occasional custom order cakes. Inside the cafe was an ivory and vanilla white colored walls with little shelves of books and games anyone could borrow. On one wall there was an extravagant gold and silver banner that said "You're Not Only Customers but FAMILY" in fancy calligraphy. Underneath the sign contained many polaroid photos with happy customers and famous idols hanging out or shaking hands with the owner.

Before I knew it, I scanned the photos absentmindedly comparing myself to idols and people in the pictures. My name's Lee Eun-Hye. I'm 14 year old and 5'2, I would consider myself average height, but some of my classmates teased and bullied me for it. I mean I get why the guys would say it, they're probably about seven or more inches taller than me. However the girls were a different story, they were only two or three inches taller than me. They just don't make any sense. Oh well. I had plain shoulder length dark brown hair, with airy bangs that I always kept up in a high ponytail or bun. A plain round face, dull, dark brown eyes, covered up with my black browline glasses or my other pair of round circle glasses. Life at school was rough, I often got bullied for my looks, grades, medical history, athleticness, or instead of my family. Anything they knew they could use it against me. I wasn't the best student I'll admit. My grades were bipolar, sometimes they would be very high, other times very low but if I worked hard I could at least make it to the top ten of my class. Whenever I got a low grade my teacher would pull me to the side and give me a lecture or a small speech as they would say it, of how I had potential and was very bright ,but needed to put more effort. They didn't realise it only made me feel worse about my life...

Life at home wasn't as sweet as peaches either, when I was young, I used to be very sick and needed lots of medical attention, but as I got older the hospital visits slowly decreased. I had two older sisters, Ji-Soo and Mi-Sun. Ji-Soo was the first born among my family. She was twenty-four and was very intelligent. She dedicated her career to become a physicist, while she was abroad in America. Mi-Sun was nine-teen years old making her the second eldest of my siblings. She chose the direct opposite of a career path from Ji-Soo. She became an actress, she was really talented and had many roles in the entertainment business. They always outshined me in many ways Ji-Soo with her knowledge and Mi-Sun with her talent. Where did that leave me? The child that the parents had to worry about since grade school. The child who couldn't make friends and got bullied for being ugly. The child abnormally different from others her age. The child who made everyone around her life more difficult. The child who had to work hard to prove the ones who doubted me wrong!
