Scarlett's POV
You were stuck, You just felt like you were NOT being heard at work. Which was no surprise really, you worked with ...men... just men, which would be no problem if you weren't an attractive young woman. You were 5'8 and you had greeny-blue eyes, your hair was light brown with blond, tho in an act of rebellion you had just recently dyed it dark emerald green, that was your favorite color, dark green but any green would do.
You weren't overweight but you weren't a twig ether you were curvy in just the right places, you were however very self-conscious, you weren't perfect that's for sure, far from it.
There we a lot of things you didn't like about yourself like you have a few stretch marks here and there, a little bit flubery like everyone is in a few places but still not overwait, your skin was not flawless you had some scars here and there from events in your life that you either can't remember or chose not to think about because of the trauma it brings with it. plus there's the other part of you.
The other side.
The other thing.
That thing was hideous to you.
It was that part of you that was making your life a living hell, and there was nothing, not a single thing you could do about it
You found it hard to get a job because you were too afraid that people will find out that you were not just a normal young human woman, human yes but also something else, something you knew nothing about apart from the fact that it's not normal and not of this world, something magical, mythological even.
You were lucky to even get this job but you were not willing to give it up, it was too important to you.
so you began typing.
... Time skip...2 hours...
You had been writing an email to your boss's boss [A.K.A The head of the company] with an inquiry about how you could make the workplace more, comfortable for females and safer, with some way to get your voice heard more in meetings and a few other inquiries.
Yes, it was a long email, and yes you were exhausted because of all the worries and challenges the day brought with it, we're you going to sleep tho.........no, no you weren't.
It was too much to go to bed with the thought of what would be the response to your email, would it be good? would changes be made?.....or would you be in big trouble? Or much worse, they would fire you.
3rd person POV
"Agh I can't do this.....this...THIS WAITING S TOO STRESSFUL!" Scarlett exclaimed out loud. She stood up and put a light hoody on thinking it wasn't gonna be too cold and she wouldn't be that long anyway.
"Screw this, I'm going for a walk...try to clear my head or something," Scarlett said out loud to herself. She snatched her keys off the bench, didn't grab her phone because it was only on 5% and still on charge. laced up her black leather chunky boots. And walked out the door, locking it behind her.
...Time skip 15 minutes...
Scarlett had been walking around the park near her apartment when she decided it was time to turn back.
"God's its cold, I wish had a thicker hoodie or..... 5," Scarlett said. "Yeah time to go home I think"
