Alexander sat in the middle of the frozen pond looking down at his reflection in the ice.  He was depressed. Lonely. He wanted someone to keep him company. He wanted someone to talk to.

Alexander looked at the tears racing down his face. He was sobbing into his knees. The lonliness has finally become unbearable. He wanted to take his own life. He looked up at the grey sky. It was like it felt his pain. He wanted to scream, shout, and just break something.

"Why!" he screamed up to the sky. His loud voice broke the peace in the forest. You could hear birds flying away from where he was. Alexander banged his fist against the ice, but it wouldn't budge. An idea struck him. He unsteadily rose to his feet. He had his feet shoulder width apart, and stuck his hands out like he was trying to balance himself. He focused on the snow infront of him thinking of what he was going to make; so he can destroy it. He was blinking away his tears as the snow swirled around in a tornado like fashion. He could see the image of boy, maybe around his age, form from the snow. Once the figure was done. Alexander fell to his knees sobbing like a newborn child. He kept screaming uncoherent things at no one in particular. He just wanted, no needed, to get his anger. He looked up at the sculpture, but it was no longer there. He wipped his tears with the back of his hands and quickly stood to his feet. There was a giggle behind him. When he turned around there was a smiling boy, but he wasn't a boy. He was completly made of ice. Alexander slowly walked towards the giggling boy.

"Who are you?" he whispered. The ice boy walked quickly towards him with so much enthusiam in his step. The boy was like a ball of energy, or just happy to be alive.

"My names... My names..What is my name?" The ice boy looked at Alexander with panic in his voice. It looked like he was about to cry. Alexander was panicing. He didn't want the boy  to cry.

"I'll call you..." Alexander looked around the small clearing. He looked at the naked tree, and the frozen pond, but when his eyes came upon a frozen flower hiding beneath a tree a sudden name came to him.

"I'll call you Lylist" he pondered the name "Nevermind I don't like the sound of that. Do you have any ideas?"

"Nope".  The ice boy shook his headed aggresivly. Alexander thought he would shake it off. He grasped his head and smiled at the boy.

"I think I'll call you Hyp" alexander nodded and looked down at the beaming boy. Hyp's smile was so wide he would have given the cheshire cat himself a run for his money.

"I like that. So can we be friends"

Alexander looked down at the boy then looked up at the sky. The sky was clear and the sun was shining; not a cloud in the sky.

"Yes" he whispered. And suddenly the lonliest boy in the world became the happiest.
