Pretty boy (Chapter 1)

I woke up at 10:00 am and started to get ready for work. I hopped in the shower and started to wash my hair when I heard my phone ringing. "Shit" I mutter as I dry my hands to pick up my phone. "hello?" I say when I pick the phone. "Hey girl, you still need a ride right?" my best friend Axel said. "Yup my dad has an early shift today." "ok be there in 20 minutes." Axel said. "alright" I said then hung up. I sighed not wanting to go to work. I dry off then put on a Three Days Grace shirt and black ripped jeans. Then walked t into my kitchen to feed my kitten Corpse. I fill his food and water bowls then pat his head. I walk to the front door and grab my keys and put on my high-top's. I walk outside and wait for Axel to arrive.

Once i see their car I walk down the steps of my house and walk up to the car. "Hey Axe" I said as I open the car door. "Hey Y/n" Axel says as she starts to drive to the mall. We arrive with 3 minutes to spare. "Alright hurry up" Axel says rushing. "I know I know" I say.

I get out of the car and start to speed walk to the front doors. I walk in and head to Hot Topic. When I get there i see my friend Kai. "Heyyyyy if it isn't Y/n. We got a newbie today." My co-worker Kai says. "Hey, ok. Am i training them?" I said "Nah boss said you need a break." Kai said chuckling. "Oh uh ok. What time do they start?" I ask. "She should be here any minute." Kai said folding some T- shirts. I hum in response as i walk to the anime shirts to see if we got any new ones.

The anime shirts are my favorite. I look at the clock and realize the mall is about to open. So i walk to the front of the store and open the metal thing. (i have no clue what its called sorry) I see a girl dressed in all pink walk up to the store. "Is this Hot Topic?" she says with a high pitched voice. "Oh uh yea. I assume your the new girl." I say. " yea" she said rolling her eyes. "You must be Emma . I'm Kai. Nice to meet you." Kai says with his sweet voice. "Oh Yea. Nice to meet you." Emma says. I walk to the counter while Kai tells Emma about the store.

Finally it hits 11:30, Kai tells Emma to come behind the counter with me and I'll show here how to work everything back here. I sigh, i thought i wasn't training her. "Ok so we just kind of chill here until we are needed or when we switch shifts." I told Emma. "Ok so like are you single?" Emma says out of no where. "Uh yea... why?" I said super confused. "Oooo so is Kai single??"she starts to smile. "No him and his boyfriend are very happy." I say annoyed "Oh so like he's bi????" Emma asks. "NO HES FUCKING GAY." I yell as a costumer walks in. "Shit" I mutter "Wow you have a temper" Emma says giggling.

"Hey uh Y/n right? Got any new anime shirts?" My favorite customer ask leaning over the counter. "We do actually. Right this way Mr. Karl" I giggle the last part. Karl has been coming to this Hot Topic since before i worked here and were kind of friends but we only talk when he comes to the store. Though I would be lying if I said I didn't have a crush on him. He's just really pretty.

I walked to the anime display and showed Karl all of the new shirts. "Nice you guys have a lot of new stuff. Thank you Y/n." Karl said. "Yup I'll be at the counter if you need something. "I say "He's hot." Emma says as i sort through shirts. "Emma sort through these." I tell her "Um no? Why would I." Emma says with a snobby tone. "Because you work here now? You know you will actually have to do something right?" I say annoyed. " But at my last job- I don't care about your last job. At this job you have to work because I'm not doing your work. I already have enough to do and its not just here at work. So I don't want to hear it." I interrupt pissed off. "Oh uh sorry?" Emma says in a teasing tone.

"Karl! you find everything you need?" I ask " Yup thank you " Karl says as he walks up to the counter. "Oo a death note shirt nice." I say. "You like anime? I just thought you were helping me." Karl say excitedly. "Then you got me so wrong." I giggle while scanning his clothes.

"New girl?" Karl asked me. "Omg Yes I AM." Emma said. "Oh uh cool... So Y/n got a boyfriend yet??" Karl asks raising his eyebrows. "Nope still single." I giggle "I'm also single. Are you?" Emma asks poor Karl. "Uh yea... So you know- WAIT ARE YOU KARL JACOBS?!?!?!" Emma interrupts. "Yup." Karl answers. He looks disappointed that she pointed it out. "Anyway I was gonna ask would you like to be in the new hide and seek Mr. beast video? I was told to find someone and i thought you might want to." Karl said getting excited. "Of course Karl. It sounds like a lot of fun." I said happily

"EMMA I NEED YOU BACK HERE." Kai called out. Emma sighed walking to the back. "Ok I'll give you my number so we can keep in touch." Karl said "Okay" I said pulling out my phone. "Its 678 999 8212" Karl said with the biggest smile. "Got it, here I'll text you hi with a smiley face." I said as i started to type "Hi, with a smiley face :)" I giggled as i sent it. When Karl say it he started dying of laughter. "That's not what I expected." I just giggled. "Alright sir your all set. Have a good day Karl." I said handing him his bag. "You too Y/n I'll keep in touch." He said walking out f the store.

I just nod as I walk to the back. "Emma out front, Thanks Kai you really saved me out there." I said with a thankful tone. "No Problem, Uh go take your lunch yea? It's almost 4:00." Kai said as he started walking to the front of the store with some shirts.

I pull out my phone and text Axel that I'll be heading to the food court. We always eat together in the food court.

"Hey girl, how's work." I said walking up to the table they were sitting at. "Not a girl, works not to bad I saw your boyfriend Mr. Karl walking out of Hot Topic." Axel said in a funny voice. I roll my eyes "Not my boyfriend. I have had the craziest day. We have a new girl and oh my god, you would think she would work at like Pink or something . Like that girl does not fit in the Hot Topic environment, But like Karl gave me his number and I'm gonna be in a Mr. Beast video." I said taking a bite of the pizza Axel got me. "Lucky I wish I was in a Mr. Beast video and just ignore the new girl. She will leave once she's done with school." Axel said "Nope already 19, well maybe." I said "yea ya never know." Axel said finishing up her food. Axel got up and threw her trash out. "Cya, after work." Axel said walking towards the exit of the food court. "Yup" I said finishing up my food.

Time skip to after work/ at home

I sighed as I sat down on the couch. "Hi Corpse" I said as my tuxedo cat joined me. "Corpse I got the cute boys number today." I said giggling cause i was talking to my cat. "Cute boy? Who is this "cute boy". Is he a co-worker?" My dad asked as he walked into the living room. "Oh uh... bye dad." I said running to my room.

That night I lied in bed for a couple of hours thinking about how the Mr. Beast video could go.
