The rest of my classes before lunch were a breeze. I thought I'd be much more lost in the work than I was. But now, I'm standing in a line quietly waiting for my food. I tried not to pay attention to the students around me. Keyword, tried. It felt as though their eyes were pouring into my back as my heart raced. I just wanted to get my food and find somewhere to sit. I felt a light tap on my shoulder, I jumped and spun around. "Oh-- sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" Deku said with a soft smile. "N-no you're fine!" I assured him. "I realized you've got nobody to sit with.. You could sit with me and my friends if you'd like?" I thought for a moment. I was going to sit alone.. But that might attract attention.. "Sure, I'd love to. Thank you." His smile grew as I agreed. I turned to face the front of the line, quickly catching up.

It wasn't long before I got my food. A decent sized bowl of Katsudon rested on my tray along with a few other things and a juice box. Before I could remember that I was going to sit with Deku he was behind me, pointing out his table. And of course.. There he was. Todoroki. I felt my heart skip a beat as we approached the table, realizing that I'd be sitting beside him. I placed my tray down gently and smiled. "Hey, Todoroki.." "Hello, Y/N." He greeted me in his quiet and monotone voice.

"Oh- you guys have met?" Deku asked. I rubbed mt neck gently, still embarrassed of what happened earlier that morning. "Yes, I saw her at the gates and decided to greet her." He answered the Greenette's question for me. I looked at him through the corner of my eyes and silently thanked him as the blush died down that was dusted across my cheeks. "Okay! Well, Y/N, these are my friends!" He pointed to the three others sitting at the table aside from Todoroki. "Hi! I'm Uraraka Ochako! You can call me Uraraka." A short, energetic brunette smiled brightly at me. "I'm Tsuyu Asui, please call me Tsu." A girl with long, green hair spoke up from beside Uraraka. She resembled a frog, it must be her quirk. "I'm Tenya Iida! Proud Class President!" A boy with blue hair and glasses called out. He made strange movements with his hands and I giggled quietly.

"As you all know, I'm Y/N L/N. But you can call me Y/N." I smiled at the small group. A small conversation was picked up quickly as Uraraka talked about her scheme's to scam some guy named Mineta out of his money. My attention was always pulled to Todoroki, even if he wasn't speaking. I noticed that frequently when I'd look at him he'd already been looking at me. I apologized. "I'm sorry.. I-I keep looking at you, It's rude of me." For a moment I could've sworn I saw his lips twitch into a small smile. "It's quite alright. You're new, It's normal to stare at new people.." He assured me. I smiled at him and turned back to Uraraka's ranting which now seemed to be an uplifted conversation between Iida and herself about his crush.

I walked into my next class with Uraraka, who was bubbling with excitement as she talked about convincing Iida to confess. I looked down at the paper which displayed my classes once more. This class is.. Hero Training. I look back up as we reach the doors our homeroom. Uraraka walks in first, which I greatly appreciated. I walk in shortly after her, taking my seat beside Todoroki. "Alright. Today we'll be doing a second Quirk Assessment. We need to see hiw far you've come and how much we need to teach Y/N." Sensei said as he walked into the classroom. "Everyone change into your gym outfits and meet me outside." He instructed and we all began moving to change. I followed Uraraka to the locker room, and then outside.

"We'll start with throw distance again. Other challenges will be changed however." Sensei explained. "Y/N why don't you start?" He said. I froze as anxiety coursed its way into my veins and pushed the lump into my throat. "S-sure.." I took a few shakey steps forward and was handed a ball. I took a deep breath and studied the consistency of the ball. I pushed a feather away from my wings and scooped the ball up. I stepped back, leaving backwards a bit. I built up the wind power and sent the ball flying with one flick. It never came back. "Infinity..." I hear Sensei call from beside me. I looked back at the shocked and impressed faces of my classmates, except for the familiar face of Bakugou who's face was laced with fury. I smiled to myself softly, proud.

The quirk assessment had gone well, I came in first! Mom will be so proud of me when I tell her. I smiled to myself at the thought, walking quietly to my last class of the day. Deku and the rest of my friends had gone ahead of me, I'm glad to get some time alone to think about things. I hummed quietly to myself as I walked down the hall, mostly empty of students. I wouldn't be late but i would be coming in last minute. Or that's what I thought. I was thrown up against a wall harshly, yelping in pain and surprise as my wings crashed into the wall that was now behind me...
