The King's desire

Chapter two:Him

I stand In front of the mirror wearing my emerald green dress, my Auburn locks are curled and fall to my waist elegantly and my bright blue eyes stand out with my bold makeup. I looked amazing and for once I felt good about how I looked.

I walk downstairs carefully trying not to fall over and break my neck. Walking in four inch heels is not my thing.Standing waiting for me were my parents and the alpha as well as the beta.
All eyes were on me causing me to shift uncomfortably as I stood at  the bottom of the stairs.
" How do I look?" I ask nervously not knowing what to do say. " you look divine," my mother said as she walks towards me arms stretched and pulling me into a loving hug. Everyone else nods approvingly and I smile back appreciatively.
After saying goodbye to my parents, my alpha who I must say was good looking shimmied me into the limo that we would be travelling in. My alpha was a man of very few words, never speaking unless he had a reason to. The beta was the same taking after his alpha however speaking to him before he can be quite mischievous.  I sit down crossing my legs and lean my head on the window as the limousine begins to move. Trees pass by and we all sit in comfortable silence. " champagne ?" Ace the beta asks. " yes please I might need a few if I'm trying to keep my sanity tonight" I saw with a smile. He gives a hearty laugh in return and pours me a glass passing it to me. I drink it like it's a shot and Ace eyes me but gladly pours me another one.

By the time we were getting out of the limo, I was already feeling tipsy. Ace holds his arm out for me to hold as we walk up the steps into the large white castle. It was gorgeous, the gardens were lit up beautifully and the fountains had their own lights that changed colour.
We walked in and there were people everywhere socialising. I felt uncomfortable being surrounded by so many people. People walked up to us greeting my alpha. After about an hour I got bored listening to the same thing over and over so I politely excused myself and walked over to where the food and alcohol was. I poured myself a drink of whiskey as I'd sobered up after hearing them talk about nothing for so long.
"Really that bored?" I turn around and see a man standing around six feet giving me a bashful look as he poured himself a drink. He had blue eyes and blonde hair. He was attractive to say the least.  " Just a little, too many people for my liking" I sat with a lighthearted chuckle. " yeah it can be after a while and they're quite boring" I face him and laugh.

" what's your name?" 

" I'm Mason, I'm the alpha kings beta"

my smile drops, oh my God I just admitted to the alpha King's beta that I was bored. I'm totally screwed. " Dont worry I won't say you think it's boring " he says laughing.

Just as I was about to say something the whole room fell silent and a tense atmosphere could be felt. I looked up and saw him. The alpha king walked down the stairs. My senses immediately heightened and all I could smell was was pine and it made my body feel as if it was on fire, my cheeks heat up and Mason gives me a knowing look.

Eyes burned into me and I felt my heart rate speed up. I took a shot of my drink, turn and begin to walk away. Why am I walking away ? I have no idea. Am I an idiot ? Definitely.

My wolf screams at me to turn around as I reach the doors and  I do.

I turn around and obsidian black eyes pierced into mine. I feel as if I can't look away or move my body. He begins walking over to me the crowd following his every step with there yellow orbs. My breath hitches as he stands no more than a foot in front of me.
I look him up and down. He stands at around six foot five maybe even more. His hair is a light brown and his jaw is chiselled to perfection. How cliche ? I laugh inwardly,well I thought I did but from the weird look he gave me I clearly didn't. If that isn't my 13th reason why I don't know what is.
"What so funny darling ?"
Oh my god he sounds so hot.
