All the Stuffs

Now that we have our backpack, it's time to get into the nitty-gritty: what to put inside.

School supply shopping can be fun! You go over the list while running around that area of Target, frantically looking for your favorite brands. With some schools you can order a box with all your supplies, so you don't have to go through that if you don't want to.

Unless specifically instructed by your school, make all your notebooks different colors. Choose one color for each subject: blue for math, green for science, red for English, etc. if you keep these colors consistent year-by-year, even better!

The school supply list itself is self-explanatory, but what about the stuff not on the list? Here is what you need:

 - Put two pencils and a four color pen in the front pocket of your backpack. Keep them in the front pocket of your backpack. If you're forgetful like me, if you leave your pencil bag at home, you'll always have a backup.

 - Keep a Sharpie on your person. Good for labeling things, and people will love you.

 - Mint gum

 - A lightweight jacket. Classrooms can get cold. Have something like a zip up hoodie, wrap sweater, or a pull over fitted sports jacket in your backpack. They will save you.

 - Earbuds

 - A spare notebook, like a comp book or a journal

 - A student planner. These don't work for everyone. I preferred to use Google Tasks or the Reminders app on my phone, but they can be great if you use them every time you have an assignment.

 - A clipboard

 - Hand sanitizer

 - Hand or baby wipes

That's about it. If you think of anything else, let me know!
