Being angry, I put on an Under Armour shirt and my shorts for a run.
"Hey, Hayden? Text me if anything's wrong. I'm going for a run," I said.
"Okay." Hayden yawned and fell back asleep.
Man, that girl can sleep. After a 20 minutes jog, I returned to the apartment, to find Hayden asleep.
"I'm back..." I whispered and opened the door.
"Cool..." Hayden muttered, her voice muddled with sleep.
I giggled and I put on my pjs.*I'm getting writer's block... sorry. It's getting somewhere interesting 😉 ~ Author*
I woke up and stares at Hayden. She was still injured.
"Hey, Hayd?" I whispered.
"Hm?" Hayden muttered.
"I'm going to university."
"Cool..." Hayden drifted to sleep.
I sighed. It was impossible to have a straight conversation with her.
Staring at myself in the mirror, I studied my current position. My eyes were baggy and dull still. My hair was still freakishly messy, but my skin was a brighter tone than yesterday.
I changed my sweatshirt and headed off."Look! It's Finn!" Amery Talc laughed with her popular friend.
"Shut up," I said, clenching my fists.
Marty, Amery's friend, sent a fist to my mouth.
I doubled back in pain, and Avery, one of the nicest girls on campus, punched Marty.
"Stop!" Avery cried.
Amelia punched my eye and Marty kicked my stomach.
In short, it was the first time I was bullied in university.I stood alone in the boys' restroom, applying Avery's concealer to my wounds.
"Damn..." I winced as I covered a bruise on my forehead.
I had a black eye, a bloody lip, two loose teeth, and a broken rib.
"Finn?" Avery called, knocking on the door.
"One sec." I put a gauze square and taped it on with medical tape.
I managed to get outside, and Avery put on the medical tape for my stomach.
Avery sighed. I'm so lucky I'm friends with someone who was in medical school.
"Thank you, really." I got up and smiled.
"No problem." Avery grinned and shook my hand.
I walked back home and when I returned, I emailed my other professors I would be gone.
Sitting gingerly on my bed, Hayden came to me.
"Finn? I brought you some ice for that eye," Hayden said.
"Thanks." I pressed it to my eye and I laid down.
Hayden had done a fishtail braid to her hair and dip-dyed the ends red. It contrasted perfectly with her black hair.
"Jack Skyped you while you were gone."
"That bloody idiot." I sighed and Skyped him from my phone.
"Finn-Finn!" Jack squealed.
"Jackamo~" I sang.
Jack and I chatted for a while and even Hayden joined in. We chatted about our plans to drop out.
"After Christmas. Agreed?" Jack finished.
"Agreed." Hayden and I nodded curtly, smiling.Author's Note: Sorry this was short. I got more writer's block... also it's like 11:30pm Eastern time. So yeah. Night~
