It was the 18th of August the wind made the trees sway as the sun was starting to set, tomorrow is my first day of uni I had decide to major in music and drama luckily Luna my best friend since childhood is taking the same courses as me. I turned onto my drive and walked up onto the porch unlocking my front door, as I stepped in I was greeted with a ball of fluff walking up to me and rubbing his head on my leg "Hey Nero" I say stroking the soft black fur on his head "Sam?"A voice shouts from the living room, I took off my black vans and walked in replying "Yeah it's me" my dad Erik who was sitting on the sofa watching the tv looked over at me and smiled, I smiled back and asked "Is Rei back yet" i then heard a knock at the door, I ran over unlocking it and saw my younger sister Rei standing on the other side her short brown hair sticking out, I stepped back letting her come in "Did you have fun at the park?" I questioned she walked past me taking off her red converse trainers and placing them on the shoe rack "Yeah Jayden climbed up a tree and Sydney brought some sweets from the shop" She gushed with a grin on her face, I grinned back and walked off to the kitchen when I got there I spotted my other dad Daniel taking a tray of lasagna out of the oven, when he turned around he jumped nearly dropping the tray "Lord almighty Sam you nearly made me drop our dinner!" he joked, I laughed before turning to the cutlery drawer "Sorry about that Dad" I said as I picked up some knifes and forks "so got everything ready for school?" He asked as he began placing lasagna onto plates "Almost, I just need to pack a few more things" I said arranging the cutlery on the plates "Here you are" Daniel spoke as he handed me my food, I then left the kitchen and sat down next to Erik and Rei on the sofa as the news came on and the presenter began speaking
Breaking news Seth Nilsson a 17 year old who last winter was charged with the murder of his Mother Ingrid Nilsson has recently escaped a mental hospital at 6:15 earlier this morning in Stockholm, officials are unsure of his whereabouts and have asked for people to report if they see anything suspicious and have advised for the people of Stockholm to stay safe.
I stopped eating and stared in shock at the tv, even though Stockholm was a 5 hour drive away it is still in Sweden, I glanced over at the clock it read 6:04 oh shit it has been nearly 12 hours since he escaped for all I know he could be here in Gothenburg, I shuddered just thinking about it "Sam?" I turned my head to see Erik and Rei looking at me their Green and Brown eyes full of concern "you alright there bud?" Erik asked I nodded my head and tried to continue eating "If it's about this Seth person I'm sure they'll find him, no need to worry" My Dad reassured me I weakly smiled at him before standing up to put my cutlery in the sink.

After dinner I walked upstairs and into my room which has white walls covered in posters of video games and bands I like along with my pride flags. I walk over to my desk which has placed on it my Lego cherry blossom bonsai tree my parents got me for my birthday, the tree reminds me of the ones in Seminarieparken which is a park my parents proposed in last April and is actually right by the university they met at which also is the university where I'm going to be studying, speaking of I better get some sleep soon if I don't want to be tired tomorrow but first I want to research this escapee person, after sitting down at my desk I clicked onto google and typed Seth Nilsson into the search bar, there were multiply websites to choose from so I clicked on the top one, the first paragraph read
Seth Nilsson now a convicted murderer had poisoned his Mum on the 17th November last winter, he was only 16 at the time. The police had stated that on November 12th in the morning They received a 112 call the person on the other end said they had found their mother unresponsive in her bed, an ambulance was sent to said persons house but found her dead upon arrival, one thing that confused people was how she had died, at first glance it appeared that she had passed away in her sleep but she was only 34, but her clothes were stained with an odd liquid and upon further investigation it was discovered to be a poisonous substance unlike one the police had seen before so they took this as evidence and decided to interview neighbours and close relatives but most importantly the woman's son Seth. During these interviews most people said that Ingrid (which was found to be the woman's name) wasn't a very liked person and that she was abusive towards her son this had caught the polices attention so when they interviewed Seth Nilsson they questioned him about his relationship with his mother, he told the police how she would say degrading things towards him or even hit him, police continued with the questioning but when searching his room they came upon a vile of the exact same substance that had killed Ingrid, they confronted Seth and it was stated that he had started tearing up and admitted to putting the substance into his mums tea but also added that "he never wanted to kill her, only inflict the same amount of pain she had inflicted onto him". On November 15th after Seth Nilssons confession there was a trial to decide what was to be done, then on the 17th the judge charged Seth Nilsson with attempted murder but since he's a minor and suffers from Bi polar disorder they sent him to Konradsbergs hospital on the island of Kungsholmen in Stockholm, Sweden, it's one of Swedens first psychiatric hospitals and is nicknamed lunatics castle because of its castle-like appearance.
I stared at the screen, lost in thought trying to process all I had just read until I was interrupted by a meowing at my door I got up and opened it to be greeted with Nero, he walked past me and jumped onto my bed, I yawned and looked at my laptop to see the time was 22:32 I'd better go to bed since I have to wake up early for college tomorrow, I got changed into a white t shirt and black bottoms before grabbing my phone to text my best friend Luna

After saying goodnight I placed my phone on the night stand next to my bed before getting under the covers but before I could drift off to sleep Nero moved and curled up by my legs, I patted his head before resting my head back on my pillow and slowly drifting off to sleep.
