A brand new motive ( Ingame Shuichi x Beta Kokichi )

Chapter 1

Shuichi pov

Rise and shine ursine! The morning announcement echoed throughout my room it had been a week since Kirumi's trial and we had since then been taking turns preparing each meal.

I couldn't remember who was on breakfast today but frankly I was too tired to care for the time being I simply rolled out of bed and began my morning routine I had barely finished getting dressed before I heard a pounding at the door along with a familiar voice that I recognize to be my friend Kaito Momota who had strangely taken to referring to me as his sidekick.

"Are you awake sidekick we can walk to the dining hall together if you want" Kaito's voice boomed I don't think that I will ever understand how he has that kind of energy this early in the morning was the last thing I can remember thinking before I swung the door open sluggishly and greeted the luminary whilst heading to the dining room

Once there Kaito and I sat beside maki at our usual table maki who I had assumed was the one tasked with preparing the breakfast for the day was eating something I had never seen before it kind of looked more like a dessert than a breakfast "did you make this maki-roll?! " Kaito questioned enthusiastically, seeing as there was nobody else in the cafeteria at the time we were the first to arrive it seemed that would have been obvious but maki simply shook her head no and continued eating her food.

I decided that trying to investigate something so small this early in the morning would do nothing but exhaust me so I went up to the kitchen and grabbed me a plate upon closer inspection you could tell that this was indeed more of a sweeter dish for a breakfast dish on each plate there was a stack of waffles with whipped cream and optional wild berries or syrups, on the other side of the plate there were smaller waffle sticks kinda like waffle french fries and on each plate there were chocolate dipping sauces for the waffle fries.

Soon enough everyone came into the cafeteria and grabbed a plate off of the kitchen bench, I returned to my seat next to Kaito and handed him a plate he stared at the waffles in awe before contently stuffing his face " Wow! You're sure you didn't make this maki-roll? It's so good!" I took a bite out of my waffles and to my surprise they were actually really good probably the best thing I've had since the game had started.

"No Kaito I did not make breakfast today I thought I had already told you" she shot an icy glare at Kaito as if to indirectly call him a dumbass without causing a scene but as usual Kaito completely ignored it

"Wait but if maki-roll didn't make breakfast then who got here before you?!" He shot out of his seat which kind of startled me because of its abruptness.

"Sit down please Kaito does it really matter that much who made this?" I gestured for him to sit back down.

*Sigh

Although the food was delicious I had other things on my mind it had been almost a week since the last killing and there was bound to be a new motive sooner or later. I looked back at my plate and finished the sweets and as if on cue the announcement flickered on and everyone fell silent.

" Upupupu come to the gym for the announcement of a special new motive"

Our faces paled with fear we each started leaving the cafeteria and heading for the gym...
