taehyung looked at her hesitantly with fear lingering in his heart. he wanted to run away and hide. the look in konnie's wasn't love or care, it was psychotic. it is not love at all, it was controlling, angry, and obsessive.
for the first time, taehyung wanted to run and hide from his best friend.
there wasn't anybody around, making him feel alone and terrified. konnie looked like she was about to attempt something horrible.
"you are mine," she hissed out, "and Im gonna make sure you never ever leave me."
konnie's hands snaked to taehyung's neck, squeezing it with a firm grasp. very quickly, taehyung moved backward, his hands holding onto konnie's. his nails dug into konnie's ones as he managed to get her hands off of his neck.
"k-konnie, this isn't like you at all..." taehyung stammered, horrified as he took steps back.
"Ive always been this way, tae. now, Im gonna make sure that you never leave my side..." she creepily stepped forward.
what were a few seconds felt like a century for taehyung. he was abruptly shoved into the lockers by the older girl. letting out a groan, his mind went straight into his fight or flight state. immediately, his hand collided with the girl's cheek, punching her ever-so violently. konnie lost her balance and fell to the ground, holding onto her red cheek.
with a scowl, she hissed. with this opportunity, taehyung began to run right out of the school. he didn't care if it wasn't over yet, he just doesn't want to be near konnie at all. fear took over his entire body as he didn't look behind.
as he ran, konnie was up on her feet. in no time, she began to chase taehyung down.
"taehyung! you can't leave me! I won't let you! you're mine and only mine, you can't!" konnie screeched out loudly, her voice slightly cracking near the end.
tears filled taehyung's eyes as the boy ran faster, panting as his legs took him to the entrance door. he shoved them open and the chill air hit his skin. as the wind got stronger, goosebumps took formation on taehyung's skin. bystanders walking by got shoved by the latter who didn't care at all. his only intention was to go home.
he was astounded that no one has heard konnie's loud screaming and begging for taehyung. not even bystanders called the police despite seeing a distressed taehyung being hunted by a psychopath.
by now, konnie was too tired to keep going. her hands were on her knees. the placid weather, the gentle softness of the clouds covered the sun. the chirping of the birds and the sounds of driving cars created white noise. the wind wasn't too strong nor weak, just gentle. it put people in an assuring and comforting mood. the tranquil environment puts everyone in peace.
the juxtaposition between the lovely atmosphere and the two friends was unnoticed by everyone. people walked by, minding their business whilst taehyung was running for his life, having his psychopathic friend chase him down like he was her prey.
