Lost without you

*A week after last chapter*

Aimie's POV:

I am sat with Millie on our sofa. We are drinking tea and watching some TV. Making sure Millie doesn't over-exert herself.

We hear a knock at the door.

I answer it, "Gen?" I ask. She looks terrified, so I invite her in. "Have you seen Nat in the last week?" She asks looking absolutely petrified. I shake my head and turn to Millie who also shakes her head.

She looks at me, "Aimie. What do I do?" She whispers, looking so helpless it breaks my heart all over again.

I sigh. "Have you been to her house?" She nods. I have a think. "Go to the police. They will know best. IIf you need anyone there. I can come, Millie can too. She nods, "Thank you Aims, and you too Millie." We both smile at my ex and then get up to leave. I help Millie up, then I walk the pair of them to the police station.

We are seen and the police send out a search crew immediately.

I hug Gen close, "Can you call Maiya?" She asks, Millie rolled her eyes, "Are you fucking mental. She fucking paid him to do this!!" I sigh, "Millie, just shut up for once." I say, "But" she pouts, I glare at her and she shuts up.

"I wanna know whether she did this. Please just do it Aimie." Gen asks me. I nod, "fine." I dial her number and pass it to Gen.

She gets Maiya to come to the police station.

When Maiya arrives she shoots a deadly glare at me, then smirks at Millie on her crutches. She then hugs Gen and makes a huge show of things. I don't care at this point. To be honest, Gen looks so awkward it makes the whole thing hysterical.

Gen takes Maiya into one of the interview rooms and then she has an interrogation.

Gen walks out, looking like she wants to burst into tears. I walk over to her, hug her. She then collapses into tears.

I soothe her as best I can.

We then wait for the policeman to say we can leave. We head to Costa and grab an iced coffee before heading back to mine.

Millie is tired by this point so she lays out on the sofa and scrolls on her phone. Me and Gen talk quietly. It's nice to finally be able to talk to Gen again.

I get a call and it says Nat has been found dead. I hold the tears in until I have to tell Gen. We both cry. Millie wakes up, presumes what is the truth and also cries.

We cry until there are no tears left to cry. We fall asleep in a tangle of hugs and tears.

I have a lot of sad chapters today!!
