I hate to admit it but I'm so happy that I'm not in a group with Elm. She's sweet but that would have been so awkward. I started to think that she had feelings for me but I was really hoping that she didn't. I just really like being friends with her. Recently a lot of people have been confessing to me. This used to never happen to me, how am I even supposed to respond? I mean I've just never had a crush and I doubt I ever will. Luckily I'm in a group with two girls who both seem very disinterested. The girl named Rose is terrifying and just blindly leads us through the woods. And Idalia is very quiet, maybe she's just shy.

Rose has grayish blue skin, black long hair that fades to red at the end, and purple eyes. She's wearing all black and her clothes are pretty casual. A black t-shirt with black cargo pants and some black combat boots. Idalia has light purple skin, brown hair, and golden brown eyes. Idalias' hair is up in two space buns with strands falling out. Idalia is wearing a white and grey striped shirt with a plaid red shirt wrapped around her waist, as well as jeans and some tennis shoes.

Linshire sent us, group 5, northeast towards base 4. Life is beginning to spring back up so there are trees but they are very small and nothing like I've seen in our history books. I hate how this world has been torn apart due to the war. That's why I decided to go to this school. I want to rebuild the world and never let anything like this happen again. I just hate how people would purposefully let fire destroy this world and the people in it.

We walk for a few hours around a mountain and then set up camp for the night in a meadow of dead trees. Rose goes off to collect wood and Idalia tries to find food. I wander off to find water. According to a map there's a lake about twenty minutes away. After an hour or so we all meet back up at camp and start to boil the water that I collected. Idalia managed to find some vegetables, so making a broth stew is easy.

Me and Idalia begin to set up tents while Rose makes a bigger fire. It's odd how the three of us have only talked when necessary, like talking about what our jobs should be. It's just really awkward, I wish we could just talk normally. I would say something but I have no idea what to talk about with them.

"Hey, so... do you guys want to talk by the fire before we go to sleep? It's still pretty early." I awkwardly ask.

"Yeah, that sounds cool." Idalia responds. Rose just looks at us and glares for a bit. She begins to walk towards us. Gosh she looks mad! But then instead she sits by us.

We sat quietly for a good five minutes before Idalia finally spoke up. "The stars look beautiful tonight."

"Yeah, they clash very well against the blood red sunset." I respond. Huh, that was pretty dark. I guess all the dead trees around us have put me into one of those moods. "So Rose, what do you like?"

"Um, I don't know. Food..?" She responds.

"Yeah, food is nice..." I awkwardly reply.

"Cheese is the best food." Idalia insists. Me and Idalia look at each other for a moment and then burst into laughter.

"Excuse me but french fries are by far the best!" I state.

"Ah... french fries are quite great but cheese can go with pretty much everything." She argues, attempting to keep a straight face, but letting out a bit of a smile.

"True! But fries..." I state. She sits there for a moment and looks at the still straight faced Rose. Idalia then stands up, points at me, and yells...

"Fair point! French fries win! For now...' We laugh and talk for a while longer. Rose stays quiet the whole time and just stares at the fire. At one point I thought that I almost saw her smile after a funny remark that Idalia made, but Rose quickly went back to being miss serious.
