On a nice warming afternoon, »y/n« was packing up her stuff putting it in the car. She turned to her family, her mother was in tears, while her father and her young brother smiled at her. »y/n« smiled at them. Her mother came over to hug her.
"Oh my god... I can't believe my baby is growing up on me, it was like yesterday when you were a baby." Her mother said smiling, hugging her again. »y/n« smiles and hugs back
"Mom I'm still your baby even if I'm just moving out hehe." »y/n« giggles at her mom.
"I know sweetie but-" her father interrupted
"Hunny »y/n« will always be our baby, it's just time for her to fly out of the birds nest. She's a young beautiful lady now." He paused and looked over at his daughter
"»y/n« you better stay away from boys they have germs." They all started laughing. after a moment of catching their breath they calmed down.
Her brother then said "Yeah »y/n«, you better stay away from the boys." He snickered. "But call me if something happens okay?" He looked at her in worry.
"Alright little bro I will." »y/n« hugs her brother. »y/n« then looks at her mother and father. She smiles at them. Her and her brother stopped hugging. »y/n« takes out her phone and checks the time.
"Well it looks like I need to get going, it's going to get dark soon" »y/n« puts her phone in her pocket.
"Hehe okay sweetie. Oh I almost forgot your father and I got you something »y/n«!" Her mother said excitedly, running into the house to grab something.
"What does she mean dad?" »y/n« said confused, wondering what they got her.
"Well I know you are a professional photographer, and you still have that old 2015 camera we got you?" Your dad said calmly while looking at you.
"Yea I still have it, heck, I even still use it to take photos with." »y/n« said, not understanding.
"Well your mother and I got you-" »y/n« mother interrupted by yelling and running to the group with a box in her hands
"I GOT IT!" »y/n« mother yelled. "Huh? Got what?" »y/n« said being more confused. Once »y/n« mother got close she handed the box to her. »y/n« held the box in confusion.
"Well go on open it!" Your mother said excitedly. »y/n« opens the box that is in her hands, only to see Sonqe b7 io7 2018 camera. »y/n« gasp and grab the camera with her right hand while she put the box down on the ground with her left hand. She looked at it in awe.
"I LOVE IT THANK YOU SO MUCH!" »y/n« yelled in happiness. She kept looking at the camera in awe, she couldn't take her eyes off it. It was beautiful.
"I can't believe it this is what I've been wanting for so long!" »y/n« kept staring at it and still, she couldn't believe what she had in her hands. Feeling the rough texture on her fingertips, then feeling the grip seeing it's easier to hold and less slippery. Noticing how nice the lenses are, she fell in love.
"I really love this mom and dad. Thank you both for getting me this!" »y/n« said, smiling happily at them. After a moment, she realized her brother was no longer present.
"Hey where did bro go-" She got interrupted by her brother yelling.
"SISTERRRRRR!" He screamed loudly. "WHATTTT!?" She yelled back. Then her brother came close. He was panting a bit while having his back bend over with his hands on his knees. But he had something in his right hand.
"I-" he coughed, then he took a good deep breath.
"I got you something as well, take your hand out" »y/n« did as he said. He stands upright and what appeared to be a bracelet in his hand, he slip the bracelet on »y/n« wrist. »y/n« look at it in awe. The bracelet had very beautiful teal blue beads, with a small conch shell. It had a pearly white color to it which made it even more beautiful.
"I love it brother, it's beautiful. Thank you." »y/n« keeps on looking at the bracelet.
"Your welcome little sis, I ask a friend of mine to make a bracelet for me, so it's only one of a kind." He smiles.
"Wow they certainly are good at making bracelets." »y/n« said while awning at the bracelet.
"Indeed they are. Anyway, that's my gift for you." He smiles and chuckles.
"Hehe well I love your gift that you made me." »y/n« said laughing a bit. Then she grabbed her phone from her back pocket, check the time. It said 6:14 pm.
"Crap now I really need to get going." She puts her phone back in her back pocket, then she looks at her family smiling
"I love y'all and I'll miss y'all." Then her family came to her and gave a big hug.
"we love you and will miss you too." They all said to »y/n«. They all stop hugging »y/n«. »y/n« smiles even more then starts walking to her car. Once she was next to the car door, she turned and gave a big wave goodbye to her family. As she drove away, she looked into the car door mirror to see her old house in the distance. After a few minutes, the house was no longer visible. She was on the highway, passing by her now old town, so many old memories flowing through her mind.
When she was about an hour into the ride, she felt bored so she turned on the radio. The radio had her favorite song playing, so »y/n« started to sing loudly. After a few minutes the song ended.
"Man, that song is always the best!"
»y/n« said happily, laughing to herself.
She soon realized it was going to be a long ride to her new home. New journey here. The one she will never forget.
