Beidou has always been the type to be slightly... protective over Ningguang. Even after them dating for nearly a year now, the captain seems to have an aggressive side whenever anyone is near the lady.

Most people are unaware of her angered stare whenever they talk to or about Ningguang... but the Tianquan, knowing Beidou very well now, could tell.

The couple were in Ningguang's office, Beidou relaxing on the couch with a beer as the other female worked through a stack of papers; this was their usual day. There was a light knock on the door, then a short female entered the room. The blue haired female with horns was known as 'Ganyu', an adepti that was another hard worker for Liyue.

"Ganyu, thank you for the papers," Ningguang said softly. The cocogoat quickly nodded, then turned around to exit. "Ah, wait! I almost forgot, I have a gift for you Ganyu," The female smiled, then stood up from her desk.

Beidou's eye [I CANT STOP SAYING EYES, I FORGET ABT HER EYEPATCH, SRRY] narrowed slightly, then fixed onto the horned lady. She dared not say a word, though.

"A gift, oh certainly not! I can not accept that, Lady Ningguang!" Ganyu said quickly, her face a slight pink. Beidou wasn't aware, but the adepti was a very easily flustered girl.

The Tianquan moved silently to pick up a bouquet of magnificent Glaze Lilies, topped off with a small bow.

Ganyu gasped, then quickly stepped back; she knew that Glaze Lily's were a rarity in Liyue, and they were also her favorite flower. "Lady Ningguang, I..." Ganyu paused, looked into the Tianquan's eyes, and accepted the gift. "Thank you." She gave a small smile, then bowed forwards quickly in front of the Tianquan.

"Your welcome..." The pale haired female responded, her eyes gentle. "Oh and," She began, then leaned forwards to whisper something into the blue haired female's ear.

Once she finished, Ganyu's face turned a surprising crimson red. "L-lady Ningguang! W-why say something l...like that!" She stuttered and dashed out of the room, Glaze Lilies gripped tightly in her hand.

"What'd you tell her?" Beidou asked the moment the female was gone. Her nose was wrinkled up, her eyebrows pulled in to a frown. Ningguang recognized that face; it only took over the brunette's face when she's angry.

"I believe that's private information, Beidou," she responded coolly. At that response, Beidou stood up from the couch, and walked over to Ningguang.

"Tell me," Beidou said firmly, her eyes cutting into the Tianquan's.

Being slightly taller than Ningguang (Beidou was wearing heels, while Ningguang was currently not), Beidou could get a better angry demeanor than her. The Tianquan merely stared back, her eyes calm yet chilling.

It was a stare down at that point; two fierce ladies determined to get their points through. Two tigers, their teeth bared.

"I don't take orders from commoners," Ningguang replied, and pushed forwards past the captain. The tension between the two was thick, like a dark goo seeping between the cracks of their relationship.

Beidou flinched with agitation slightly, then grabbed onto the other female's wrist tightly. Ningguang knew the captain could turn slightly physical when she was mad, but never terribly injured her. So, she simply sighed, then looked back at Beidou. The brown haired lady's face was angered, the glimmer in her eye faded into the darkness of the sky outside.

"I simply told her... She should gift the flowers to her little... 'girlfriend', Keqing," Ningguang said calmly.

Beidou's eyes widened, realizing that she had been so icy towards her beloved for no true reason other than her burning jealousy. "Ningguang I..." Beidou paused, her breath slightly speeding.

"It's fine." Ningguang said quickly, deciding to accept the captain's apologies. Besides, dwelling on the past was wasteful. Noticing the lady's quick breaths, the Tianquan  placed a hand on Beidou's chest then kissed her neck lightly. The small pecks calmed Beidou, and her breathing turned to steady inhales and exhales.

Unlike the red mark around Ningguang's wrist, this would remain inlaid upon her.
