Ashes too Ashes

Ashes and soot claimed the air, and a coven no longer. I looked at the burnt bodies and held back the tears. I gazed into the distance and saw a thick blue cloud. There was only one Caster who held that color. My twin sister. You see each mated pair of casters had a set of twins. One twin was destined for darkness and the other good. It was to hold a balance. What a load of bullshit right? The bodies smelled of burnt flesh. My coven destroyed and my parents dead. My heart felt as if it was no longer beating and I was destroyed. I was only 16 then and destined for good. I was lucky when a nearby werewolf pack took me in. Alpha Gomez looked after me and his pack was always good to me. But even them couldn't take these memories away. I was lost and cold. I gave up on the idea of finding my mate, now that my coven was destroyed. The only thing I had to remind me of them was the mark of a mocking jay on my hand. I sat in the middle of my room looking through my casting books. I placed my hand on the pictures and read the wording in my head. I practiced daily in hopes one day I would find my sister and seek revenge for my coven and parents. Some say revenge is on the side of darkness, but I can't always be the good one. Alpha Gomez used his mind link to speak. I know what you're thinking isn't that a werewolf thing? Well, I'm a caster I can let anyone in or out at my control.

'Bella, I need you to meet me at the pack house.' he said. I didn't say anything and walked out the door. While I entered the pack house he was standing there. He wasn't the same man that raised me. Losing your mate and child was too much for him and his wolf. His face looked rough as if he hasn't slept for nights, and his hair needed a cut bad. Still even through his sadness he held a smile at me.

"Alpha, you asked to see me." I smiled back at him.

"Yes, I need you to go by the blood moon pack." He began to tell me of the war between the blood moon pack and the silver moon pack. He explained how the Luna of the blood moon pack had lost her memory due to witch craft. He went on with more details about how his pack and others have joined and that the silver moon packs Alpha was dangerous. I nodded in understanding.

"What does this have to do with me?" I asked. I know it sounds cold but when you lose a whole coven you start to only depend on yourself.

"Well, I'm hoping you can go over there and help her." He spoke.

"Why should I?" I asked.

He sighed. "Because the man she is fighting against is her father. You would understand the feeling of losing something so close to you by your own blood." He was referring to my coven. He always knew how to get my emotions going haywire. I looked down and then up at him. His eyes were pleading at me.

"Alright I'll do it." I spoke. The ride over there I was accompanied by two men from the blood moon pack. As the car stopped, I made my way to the Alpha and Lunas quarters. The two men made me wait outside and walked in to inform the Alpha.

Inside the house I heard a man's voice say, "Alpha Kyo, the caster is here." Why was his voice so soothing? It almost relaxed me. I shook it off.

As I walked in, I greeted them, "Hello." Then a man walked in. When I looked at him, I saw a purple aura that meant one thing. He was my mate. A caster knew they found their mate if they shared the same color as the caster's aura. How was this even possible? He isn't a caster but a werewolf. My eyes looked at him in shock. He was a very tall man about six foot four, he held a tannish color to his skin. His hair was dark brown and his eyes shared a greenish blue color. He was handsome which annoyed me deeply. The strange man stared at me. I never thought I could have a mate and I never wanted one. A mate would get in my way of finding my sister and I couldn't allow that. Within seconds he held my waist in a strong grip and inhaled my scent deeply.

Then he utters the words I wished to never hear, "Mate."

"Thats impossible." I said back in shock. I tried to pull away but his grip was too strong. I looked at the Alpha and Luna for help, and when the Alpha finally spoke up can I just say I was fucking glad.

"Well, that was lovely, but your Luna needs a bit of help. Jason you can wait and continue this fuck fest later." I rolled my eyes with that comment still he didn't let go. Until the Luna piped up and he backed off. I helped with what I could but her memories where blocked. I was strong but no amount of casting could break that. What was held in her mind was darkness. My light casting was no match for that kind of power. I explained how she needed to break it and how I could only bring a couple memories out. I knew however that this would drain my power and possibly kill me. I almost lied and said there was nothing I could do, but I could do no such thing. Her eyes held loss, and grief. I could relate to her and selfishly I wanted to help. I agreed to come back after night fall and Jason waited outside to show me to my quarters.
