The Last Caster

The Connection

The walk to my quarters was filled with Jason trying to hold my hand and ask me a million questions. My annoyance was starting to build up and even the mate bond couldn't stop my next words. 

"Would you kindly fuck off." I spoke harshly. He looked at me in shock and I saw anger in his eyes. 

"Thats not how this works sweetheart. You're lucky the Alpha gave you your own quarters and you're not rooming with me. I am nice a guy but..." He stopped me in my tracks and came close to my ear. "If you challenge my wolf, I can't promise he won't bite that pretty little neck of yours." He referred to marking me. I smirked at him. It was cute how he thought his statues of a beta controlled me, like some she wolfs in mating season. 

I whispered back into his ear, "Honey, I'm a caster not a she wolf. You don't effect me." I laughed a little and continued walking. The rest of the way held silence until I was at my door.

He pulled me to his chest and whispered once again, "Will see." He smirked and kissed my cheek walking away yelling, "Bye mate!" I rolled my eyes heading straight to the bed and plopped down. This caster needed some beauty sleep. I awoke from a banging at my door. Opening it I was met with my mate. Even saying that made me want to roll my eyes. I grabbed my jacket I threw on the bed and put it on. I started to walk back to the Alpha and Luna's quarters ignoring the fact that Jason was behind me.  

"Fuck your sexy." I couldn't help but smirk at that comment. Fucking mate bond, I yelled at myself. Once there I went to work explaining to the Luna the process. She told me she was ready and to call her Anna. I liked that about her she didn't use her power against others. I connected our eyes once again and began the cast. I fought through the block making any holes I could, but the spell was too dark. Still, I wasn't the type to give up. I pushed my cast harder causing her and I pain. I almost stopped it but she pleaded that she could handle it in her mind. She was strong very strong. I continued at her will not thinking about a very pissed off Alpha at the other end of this. I felt my strength began to weaken and my body start to give out. Still I kept the hold. My nose began to bleed but I ignored it. 

"Anna!!" I heard through outside of the connection. 

"Bella!! Stop you're going to kill yourself!" Jason yelled as well, but I still ignored it. I pushed further and right before the connection broke, I managed to make two cracks on the block. Before I knew it, I opened my eyes to being held in Jasons arms and an Alpha shifted showing his teeth. It didn't faze me however; I've seen burnt bodies not a lot scared me. The Alpha locked eyes on my throat still I held my chin up. He began to snarl with caused Jason to snarl back. I never thought a beta could deny his Alphas orders until I saw it with my own eyes. Anna got up cleaning the blood from her nose calming the Alpha down. She ordered Jason to get the Alpha a pair of clothes. 

"Kyo, meant no harm. It's hard to control the mate bond." Anna said. 

"I know. It didn't even scare me." Anna and I shared a laugh. We all sat in silence until Jason spoke up asking if it worked. Anna explained the things she now remembers. It made me want to smile that I could help her a bit. I never really had a friend and to say I was lonely was an understatement. There was one memory she shared that caused guilt to surface in me. The day she got her eyesight back and Alpha Gomez losing his mate. Sammatha was a good woman and Luna. I now understood why Alpha Gomez wanted me to do this so badly. She was the Luna, Sammatha wanted to help. I shared a look of grief with Anna and the room fell silent again. Ear piercing screams filled the outside. I stood up in shock and looked at everyone in the room. 

"He is here. God dammit!!" The Alpha yelled. Who is here? Anna's father? Oh, shit was all I could think. The Alpha started throwing orders around. Before Jason left, he bent down whispering in my ear.
