First hour was a drag. My first hour teacher, Ms. Douglas, seemed to talk forever. Like I expected, on the first day of school teachers only talk about their expectations. Nothing of importance really. The class seemed decent. Lots of quiet kids like me. Ms. Douglas seemed like she would make an okay math teacher. Just when I started to relax, the she-devil walked in. Shit.
Nina Hawkins. I had gone through elementary, middle, and now high school with that bitch. Nina had always been that popular girl who seems to be that perfect angel, but really made everyone's life a living hell. I've kept a mental list of everything Nina has ever done to anybody. The list can get pretty nasty. Was anything ever done to punish her? No. Nina's reputation was too high for anybody to suspect anything.
Nina's mom was head of the school board and her dad was a surgeon. Nina had won numerous awards for her "outstanding citizenship". Like with my dad, I was never good enough for Nina so I was made her main target. In the second grade, Nina put gum on the seat of my chair. In sixth grade, she wrote a fake note saying who I liked and gave it to the teacher. Of course I got in trouble. In eighth grade, she stuck a knife into my locker. When I opened my locker later that day,the knife fell out in front of the assistant principal. I was suspended.
Nina strolls over to theiddle of the room. "Name?" Ms. Douglas asks. "Nina Hawkins." When she says her name, she gives her long blonde hair a little toss. She's wearing these really short shorts, and pink razor back shirt, and a pair of sandals. Why she was late? God only knows. After that, in walks Jeremy Simmons. His hair is a little messed up and his shirt collar crooked. Well that explains a lot.
Get me the hell out of here.
