Chapter 23 (Contact)

Scarlett's P.O.V

These past few days have been very very annoying. I know we are hiding from Mordecai, Dante excetera, but I can't take it anymore. I need to go back to my house, and sleep in my own comfy bed.

I was in the backyard of the cottage just sitting there under the nice sun. The others were god knows where. They could be in the cottage, in front of the cottage, behind the cottage, even in the lake. Swimming seemed like fun, but I didn't want to go in by myself. That's it. I can't function like this anymore.

I stormed through the screen door into the living room. Earning curious looks from my dad who was reading, Ben, who was doing something on his phone, and Lilly who was also reading.

"Is there a problem?" Ben was the first to respond to my entrance.

"I can't live like this anymore." I say while I wave my hands talking about the whole house.

"Like what?" Ash asked, sliding her book mark into her book, and shutting it entirely.

"Here. In this damn cottage." I replied with a hint of intensity.

"I find it calming." My dad smiled at me. Only making me want to hurt someone.

"It's either we leave, or I'll be the one killing someone." I say smashing into the chair.

"Stop being selfish." Ben smirked still looking at his phone.

"Why are you trying to get us all killed? Just relax, and find something interesting to do. Where's your boyfriend?" Ash commented crossing her hands like a shrink.

"You know what," I raised an eyebrow, thinking intently, "that's a good question."

I turned on my heel and walked around the inside of the cottage. "Boooyyyyyfrrriiieeennnddd, whereee are youuu??" I sang like a five year old playing hide and go seek.

Sadly no answer. I headed outside again and started walking around repeating the same thing. I approached my car and smiled looking inside. I found the drivers seat reclined back, with my boyfriend on top of it. Napping. I put each legs on both sides of him, cars were such a confined place, for this kind of action but I made it work.

Jessy's arms were bent behind his neck, to support it. It revealed his muscles, one, because he was in a t shirt, and two, he was naturally flexing. I kissed his cheek and he grinned, with his eyes still closed.

"Hi." His raspy voice made me shiver.

"Hi." I gave him a kiss on the lips again.

His eyes fluttered open and I got off of him, crawling over to the passenger seat. Truth be told, I wasn't really bored, this place just gave me too much time to think about what was going on in my life. Everything that is going on is basically my fault.

"Something wrong? Don't tell me you woke me up so we can be all moppy.." Jessy chuckled to himself.

"Fine. I'll just leave." I opened the door and stepped out starting to walk back inside.

"I'm joking." Jessy was in front of me blocking my enter. "Come on let's go on a walk."

I nodding ignoring the fact that he was just being a douche and grabbed his hand. We started walking peacefully past the car and that's when we were interrupted.

"GUYS!" Lilly stood on the porching calling out for us. "SOMETHINGS UP!"

Jessy and I looked at each with sarrow in our eyes. I guess now wasn't the time to be lovey dovey. Within a second our super speed, brought us to the front porch.

"What's this about?" Jessy asked Lilly.

"Sophie heard something." Lilly replied,opening the screen door for us. I walked in first and then Jessy followed.

"You know if a random stranger ever heard our conversations, they would think we were a group of physcopaths." Jessy spoke behind me.

"Men that could be true." Lilly replied. We were in the living room now with everyone else. Sophie was in the middle at the coffee table. She barely has had any rest since we've been here.

"What's going on?" Were the first words that came out of my mouth.

"Its a young man. He says his name is Dominic..." Sophie explained. The others looked at me like I was their leader, my dad just sat back and listened.

"What does he need?" I questioned.

"He wants to meet with you, and Ash." Sophie said with her eyes clothes. "He said to meet him at your house, he will be there all day." She opened her eyes and looked at me.

"How did he contact you?" Ally said gaining the witch's attention.

"It wasn't exactly him, it was another witch." Sophie responded and stood to her feet.

"I don't trust it." Caleb said in protest.

"Why?" I asked.

"Think about it. It was a witch, not him. Not actually his voice." He exclaimed.

"It could be a set up." Ash cut him off.

"Exactly." Caleb smiled in triumph.

"Well it doesnt have to be. How else was he suppose to find us, he may need help." Ally says shrugging her shoulder.

"She's right..." Sophie look from the map on the coffee table, back up to me. "The only way he could have got a message across to me was by trying to find us first, then the witch could telepathically speak to the other witch producing the spell."

"What if Dante, or Mordecai, or even Cole, knows about Dominic's little contribution to getting me out?" Lilly said. "It failed but he still tried."

"Wait, is Dominic the guy who came to the cell with no back up? The one that I kicked the ass out of?" Molly asked earning a nod from Lilly. "Okay, okay continue."

"Do you think that they are actually this determined?" Jessy's voice sounded from behind me.

"Considering everything that they have done, I'd say they're pretty determined." I said with a long silent pause after.

"Are we going or not." Ash snapped. She hasn't been the same since Demetre, her temperature has been outrageous.

"I have no idea if it him, Dominic, or one of his uncles..." I answered her pouting.

"You never know until you try, or in this case go." My father finally put done the book he was reading. "Your brother will accompany you."

Ben sighed heavily, earning a scowling look from my dad. Ben then stood pouting and walked past me...

"Hurry up, I'm tired." I don't know why he was tired since it was 1pm.
