The Mafia's Secret - accepted

it's just the beginning...

I woke up to the sound of the birds and the bright light of the sun shining through the huge window on the side of the room. I slowly got up trying not to wake Jay up and stared out the window. The sun, the green trees, the lonely bird, and nothing more. That's all I could see. I suddenly felt a hand on my back and turned to see Jay staring at me half awake.

"Morning," I said smiling and then looking back at the window.

"Hey," he said turning back around to look at the window as well. He then got up and grabbed my hand and put his head on my shoulder. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes until he got out of the bed and dragged his feet out of the room while I dropped back to my pillow. I finally got up after 30 minutes and brushed my teeth and got changed. I walked down the stairs to see Jay sitting on the sofa drinking, well, something.

"What is that?" I curiously asked leaning in to see.

"Coffee, yours is on the counter," he said looking up at me.

"Oh okay, thanks," I said going to the counter to see a delicious cup of coffee with the right amount of milk.

We both drank in silence, with his back facing me while I just stared at him while drinking my coffee.

"So, what now?" I asked taking my last sip and walking to him. He suddenly got up and brushed past me to the kitchen counter ignoring my question.

"Jay?" I said standing there in confusion as to why he was acting so cold. He suddenly looked up at me with a cold look making me firm up. He slowly walked towards me and stood in front of me, staring at me not saying a word.

"Jay, say something for fu-" I raised my voice slightly before he swung me around against the wall and crashed his cold lips against mine. Now I was really confused, I tried to release the kiss, but he was grabbing me really tight. He finally let go but still had his forehead against mine.

"The hell-" I shouted before he hushed me. I looked him I the eye, his deep brown eyes were saying something, and I could feel it, but I couldn't figure it out in time.

'Bang'

A bullet whizzed past us both and hit the wall right next to us. I could hear out heartbeats pound in sync. Then suddenly another bullet came the other side and knowing where it would come to next, Jay moved us out the way before it hit us, instead it hit where we were before we moved. I looked at Jay with pure fear in my eyes even though I tried not to show it.

"Put your shoes on, I'm coming," he said running up the stairs.

"No don't leave," I said standing there hesitating whether I should do as he said or follow him up.

"I swear I'm coming back, just head out the back," he reassured me and opened the bedroom door.

So I did as he said and put my shoes on and headed out, all I could see ahead of me was a rocky path that was leading to somewhere which I had no clue to. I ran as fast as could forgetting about everything. I ran and ran and ran, even 20 minutes later I was still running through the woods with no light shining through until I saw a glimpse of light shining through the last tree, this time I ran faster and faster revealing a huge lake which had a huge field on the other side. I stood there not knowing what to do. I was panicking and was getting paranoid when suddenly I heard Jay calling out my name but at the same time gunshots getting closer and closer. Now I was really panicking and froze.

"JAYA JUMP!" I heard him shout but I couldn't move.

"JAYA JUMP IN THE WATER, NOW!" I heard him again, but I couldn't move, I was scared. Suddenly I could see Jay getting closer and closer until he grabbed me, and we both fell into the water together. We dropped so far down that I woke up to reality and started to realize I couldn't breathe and started to reach the surface, but Jay hugged my trying to stop me.
