Readers POV:

Elizabeth had never seen anything so gruesome. She reprocesses every single thing that just happened. She couldn't forgive how those men were going to take advantage of her but she never thought they would die so brutally.

"I can't believe what happened." Elizabeth spoke to herself.

Despite all of what happened, Elizabeth could not stay in this situation. Just as she started to back away from the mysterious boy, something tugged her; her heart. No matter who the boy was she couldn't leave him there, literally bleeding to death. No matter how many times her brain refused her heart always got the better of her.

Elizabeth crouched down to the boy to take a look at the wound. Slowly but carefully she slid her hand down his back; cold. His body felt like ice. Elizabeth had never known a human could get this cold and still be alive. Then she rethought again. Maybe, he is from a different race. She thought to herself. How silly of me, how can they draft a child into war?

Elizabeth hadn't yet wrapped the bruises she had gotten this morning, but this boy needed much more medical attention than she did. Based on the looks of it, there is no way this boy could possibly be alive, but slowly every few seconds he took a small breath. Elizabeth must find a doctor for the boy, but how should she while she is deep in the woods?

Elizabeth stood up and walked toward the wagon, the horses who pulled the wagon had already fled during the battle. 'There must be a cottage nearby'  she thinks.

Once she cleared out the wagon she made room to put the boy. The men had some useful supplies such as blankets and bread in the wagon. Perhaps Elizabeth could eat since she didn't have breakfast this morning. However, she was more focused on the boy than her needs.

Elizabeth laid down the blankets in the wagon and walked over to the boy. She carefully picked him up and brought him to the wagon. He was quite heavy for such a young-looking boy. She flipped him over and wrapped his wounds.

After she finished wrapping his gash, she flipped him back over to get a better look at his face. She lifts up the bangs of the boy just to spot a demon mark on the center of his forehead. Not just any ordinary demon mark, but one in the center, representing the royal demon family. Elizabeth stood there in shock and fear.
