Grey walls made of stone, blood stained hands, the quiet sounds of men jerking off in the rooms outside and pure white clothes; these are the first things that greet me when I wake up.

Where am I? What's that smell?

I begin to panic.

Why are my arms and legs tied down? Why am I dressed like this?

I start to scream.

"Keep it down will ya? I'm trying do fap 'kay new guy?" a man laughs from a neighboring room.

I stop screaming.

New guy? What the hell is going on?

A women dressed in a simple black dress opens the door to my room.

"Good morning Daniel. I see that you've woken up. Quite a night you had last night, eh?" she says smiling sympathetically. "Well, uhm...you probably have a lot of questions. I'll be willing to answer them after you get washed off," she says as she approaches the bed with a bucket of water.
"Ma'am where am I?" I ask quietly as she begins to wash the blood off of my face.
For a while, she doesn't say anything. When she finished cleaning off the blood, she grabbed her pail and stood up.
"You are in a cell, in a place called Hanwell
Asylum," she says avoiding my eyes.
"Wait...isn't that an asylum for the clincally insane?" I ask nevously.
"Yes," she replies as she reaches the doorway.
My head pounds, making it feel like my skull will shatter into a million pieces. My heart beats quicker than it ever has. My cheeks are being coated in tears.
"Welcome to Hanwell," she says before closing and locking the door.
I scream as loud as I can, crying, trying to block out the laughter of my - now know - cell mates.
Screams are the last thing I hear that day. The trouble is, they aren't my own.
