As I came back from the city after getting some herbs for Julie around evening time , she was too weak to move and could hardly talk .She could just look at me and smile , trying to force words out of her mouth.
        "Aaaaaah, Rachel welcome back, u know I feel like aaaaah ,I should tell u something ."said Julie while shivering in pain.
         " Not now dear ,not now ,first take your medicine ,we shall have all the time in the world to talk about everything." Said Rachel.
She smiled a little then took the medicine but in less than a minute she vomited all of it back with drops of blood ,things had got even worse.
I wasn't a doctor and I didn't know what to do but one thing I was sure of was I had to take her to the hospital no matter what .
      "Hush ,hush ,Julie take it slow ,u are making me scared come on , lean on me and we go to a nearby hospital or clinic." Said Rachel.
          "Aaah ,u know I appreciate you, and I aaah ."said Julie and I stopped her before she could use all her energy to talk to me.
Slowly I grabbed her to my back dismissing the fact that she was heavy and we moved outside.
It was curfew time and soilders were all over the place, so I screamed out for help coz I could feel her body getting hotter and hotter with fast breathing.
      "Help ,help , somebody help me , friend is dying." Shouted Rachel.
Two soilders came up and scolded for shouting in the night then later they took notice that indeed I had someone on the back.
      " Mwanaichi ,why are u shouting , young girl shout your mouth."said the soilders.
      " She ,she , she ,I meam my friend is so sick she's dying please help her." Said Rachel
      " Oh this is serious , let's help her out, but wait , what if she has corona and we get it too , oh no we can't risk ." Said one of the soilders.
This scared me the more that's I couldn't stop myself from crying when the soilders ran e from me at the time when I needed help.
I wouldn't just give up and see my friend die and yet even the nearest clinic was far and I had to get trasport.
I hurriedly moved to the road to see if I will see any vehicle passing by to help me trasport my friend to the hospital anf two to three vehicles passed by me without even stopping , infact they would even increase the speed when I called out for them.
        " Rachel dear stop ,just stop."said Julie
        " Nooo I can't let u go like this ."said Rachel.
She was now getting cold instead of hot. When I tourched her body it felt like an ice cube so pale and cold .
      " I have been happy living on the streets with u and I don't need you to be burdened by me."said Julie
        " No dear u don't burden me , as long as we are together , infact u make me strong , oh u are even cold let me give you my jacket as well."Said Rachel
    " Julie, Juliette, hy reply me ,no ,no ,no ,no ,nooooooo.
Ant that was the last time I saw her .
The lockdown locked down my dreams
My heart
My soul
It was more than a lock down
It took my friend away.
Without the lockdown I would maybe get help.
Now am alone.
