Chapter 2

*Sam*

what is Deena's problem? she comes into the room to yell at me about Peter doing something he didn't.

I keep having the girl hanging in my head. I can't get her out, I'm tired but I can't sleep.

I couldn't help but look at Deena on her way out. I do miss her but im dating Peter.

Peter just looks at me and I shrug. "what's her problem?" he asks me. "I don't kno-" but I get cut off by seeing Peter bleed from the mouth and his head. I was frozen, I didn't know what was real anymore.

Peters body falls forward in front of me. my eyes widen as I see someone wearing a skull mask approach me slowly, "AHHHH!"

"Sam!!" I hear from a distance, but I knew who's voice it was. it was Deena. she hits the guy in the head with a IV pole. she grabs my hand almost making me fall off the bed and we ran.

"WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" I asked Deena while running. "I'll tell you later we need to find Kate and them first" it seemed like Deena didn't even give a fuck. was Deena talking about this guy earlier when she accused Peter?

as we approach Kate, Simon, and Josh, Deena stops in panic "he's here! we have to get out!"

the skull mask killer runs through the door, now we're all running with the killer on our asses.

Deena pulls out her car keys and unlocks it when all the sudden someone grabbed me, I couldn't breathe. he was choking me tighter and tighter.

"GET OFF OF HER" Deena yells. I bit his arm so he let go, but Deena sprinted to tackle him. she took off his mask and that's when we all looked at him... he was Ryan Torres, the one who killed Heather. but he looked different, there were flies on his face and a gun shot wound in his head. Deena and I stood up and we were just there in shock.

"LETS GO!" Kate says as her and Simon grabs Deena and I. Kate took her keys from Deena as we just sat in the backseat by Josh.

"did you guys see that too??" I ask, still in shock. "yeah we did.. Ryan Torres, he's the one that killed those people in the mall" Josh answered

"HOLY SHIT" Simon says but I'm just frozen, I'm traumatized. I saw my boyfriend get stabbed in the head.

I stay still until I feel a hand on top of mine, and of course it's Deena's hand. "are you okay?" I nod even if I actually wasn't. she interlocked our fingers but I was too scared to stop her. hell.. I didn't want to stop her.

we make eye contact until a sharp turn came to interrupt. "jesus christ Kate!" Deena screamed. "IM SORRY, but we just saw a dead serial killer!" Kate yells.

we pulled up to Deena's house, "shouldn't we call the cops?!" Simon asked. then Deena snapped, "are you fucking serious? and tell them what? that we saw dead fucking Ryan Torres? the police will not believe us no matter what, so we pretty much are by ourselves!"

everyone went silent. "she's right." Kate said eventually, "no one is going to believe us." we all nodded. with my hands still shaking from what happened.

I feel a hand on my shoulder "sit down." "Deena..." "I know Sam I know, but listen okay?" I nod. "we think there's something he's after. the skull mask killer broke into Kate's house and was holding a shirt with your blood on it." she grabs my hands. "I have to talk to you.." I tell her, pulling her into the bathroom.

"what's wrong Sam?!" "okay okay just listen, when the car crashed I crawled out. right when I crawled to this spot my nose started bleeding. then I touched the ground... I saw a girl getting hanged." "JOSH!" Deena yells. "wha- what are you doing?!" I ask.

"yeah??" Josh asks as he comes in. "you showed me this paper of a girl getting hanged and she only had one hand.. correct?" Deena asked. "the one handed witch?" Josh questions. "yes, do you know what happened?"

"follow me!" Josh yells as he opens the basement door, everyone follows behind him with me and Deena still holding hands.

"this is the one-handed witch, she became possessed and that's why they hung her, her hand was cut off and is buried somewhere." Josh explains

my eyes grew. Deena's fingers interlocked with mine, "hey, are you okay?"

"yeah.. i- can we go back to the place the crash happened?" "why?" Kate asked.

fuck.

I look at Deena and nod. "Sam saw the witch when the car crashed."

everyone looked at me. "okay let's go then!" Simon says.

Deena grabs the keys and we all get in the car. I sat next to Deena in the passengers seat.

I wasn't complaining.

during the drive I kept looking at Deena and I felt her looking at me. I still have feelings for her but I don't know when I should tell her in a situation like this.
