"Alec!" I jump With surprise And turn to look at Clem wide eyed.

"Yeah?"

"Are You even listening to me?" To be honest I hadn't heard a single thing she said since lunch started Ive been to busy focusing on the Clock. The sinful clock that would soon force me to face...Luke Moring.

Before I can answer I'm saved by the bell or should I say cursed by the bell, Clem throws away her Cupcake wrapper and grabs my hand weaving us through the sea of students each step I take is sluggish not wanting to endure this awkwardness that is sure to come.

We make it to my class and she let's go of my hand and hugs me around my neck,I hug her back and she turns to leave.

I grab her hand,"What's wrong alley?"

"Do you wanna um...skip?"

She stares at me for a second then starts laughing.

"Your hilarious alley...You know i can't do that! See ya later jokester" She pulls away and Joggs down the hall, my head drops and I sigh.

I walk into the class with my head down, I peek through my hair and see that Luke has his head phones in and see this as my chance to talk to the teacher.

Well when I got home from the party the night before last Clem sent me a text asking about the bio project... I remembered it was after school hours and that I would have to see Luke and possibly....mason. let's just say I freaked and decided I needed to change partners.

Mr.Lane is sitting at his desk sorting through Papers, I walk up to his desk And clear my throat.

"May I help you mr.cane?" I look down kind of embarrassed

"Yeah you can... I was wondering if I could change partners or maybe work alone..."

His eyes narrow at me slightly

"Mr.cane there are no exceptions! Just because you are semi new doesn't mean you get special treatment you either work with Luke or take a 0!" My eyes start to burn but I push it back... I really hate being yelled at, it kinda hits a wimpy nerv in me.

I turn and take my seat next to Luke being sure to keep my eyes down and hair over my bright red face.

I get that feeling... That buring sensation, like someone burning a hole in your head with their eyes,I peek through my hair and see luke sitting with his seat turned towards me.

His hand comes into my lap and sets a paper on it

'Are you alive?' It said, I rip the paper up and raise my head,Bright blue eyes greet me never once did their gaze faulter.

"I see your trying to get rid of me." He said calmness laced his voice. He sounded like he did when I first met him again...calm, emotion less,cool, and Guarded,He didn't sound passion filled and angry anymore.

"No. I just wanna work alone."

"Too bad. You obviously need this grade,Nerd.So I'll be at your house after school." He put his ear phones in blocking me out like he did the rest of the world, He wasn't the open,Dreamful, passionate boy I remember those two nights.

I should be glad he's back to normal! I mean who cares if he shuts me out! I don't even like him he's an asshole who kissed me against my will and trys to judge my love life.
'Then why does your heart sting?'
'And why didn't you pull away?...'

A voice in the back of my head whispers.

Super short chapter I know sorry guys but its 2:00am and I'm tiiired consider this just a fill in chapter before the real stuff begins
..because yeesss stuff is about to get good!
