The following Tuesday was a strange day too. Not as much as Friday, but still pretty weird. As far as Derek went that day, nothing to out of the ordinary happened, you know, besides him following Rae and I on the way to lunch, as he pretended to be looking for Amie. Now that was ironic. Anyway, the really odd thing that day was Evan. I was walking to class as the bell was about to ring, so actually I was speed-walking, and I hear someone call my name. Oh gosh. I know that voice. "Jazzlin," Evan called, approaching me with a smile. "Hey," he said, like we'd actually been talking for the past four months. "Hi," I said nicely, I realized that I had missed him. His smile widened."Wanna hug?" he asked me.
I missed his hugs so much... it's not like one hug would hurt anything. I wrapped my arms around his neck and soon felt his hands feeling down my back until he was right above my butt. I tried to pull away but he pulled me closer, lifting me off the ground, or trying to anyway. I let out a flirty giggle that totally did not sound like me at all. He put me down when he saw a teacher glaring at us. "I'd better go," I said, smiling. "Okay," he said grinning ear to ear as he began walking the other way. I turned to go down the metal stairway, and heard the late bells ringing in my ear. I really didn't like him like that anymore, but sometimes a guy's touch is something you just can't seem to resist. Smiling to myself, I continued down the steps, thinking of how extraordinary it felt to be in his arms again.
After a horrid doctor visit on Wednesday, including arranging another appointment for surgery, Thursday night came with an extremely unexpected event. Mostly having to do with a guy rarely mentioned so far, Landon. Blonde, shiny curls and dull navy eyes with a portion of slick flirting moves made for a crazy hot* guy. But of course with every seemingly flawless available, is some major baggage to fall back on, zooming you back to reality. Landon and I have had a pretty lengthy, up-and-down sort of relationship. A few months back, all we did was talk, and hug, and touch, and gossip. It was me and him, all the time, and it was a picture perfect couple of months. And that's when Kaylee came into the picture. There was the classic guy fight. Complete with crying, screaming, and sleepless nights on wet pillows, it was the whole enchilada. I eventually gave up. It was unimaginably difficult, and I never got over him. The pictures of his warm, robust hands on my waist and his breath on my neck always scanned through my mind when I saw them together. It took a while for Kaylee and me to rebuild what we had, but we did it. At this particular time, they're not together. But that probably won't stay the same for long.
