The tapping of your computer fills the workspace as well as other office noises. It's a Wednesday which means you'd have to work extra, what a day. You almost feel as if you should just go home but then that means less money and you kinda need the extra cash right now "Hey, Y/N. I got you a Coffee." Thankfully, a saviour is here! Kobayashi-Chan carrying a cup of Coffee to lift your spirits, so you take the cup and have a sip to then lay it on your desk "Thanks, Kobayashi." "Don't mention it." She goes to walk off but stops to go back over "You're working late tonight, aren't you?" She asks with you giving a tired nod followed by a yawn "Well, how about I treat you to a drink at my place after work?" Kobayashi offers "Oh no I couldn't do that to you. You're working tomorrow." You decline the offer but Kobayashi starts to insist "No no, I insist, really. It's no problem." 

While this conversation happened, someone was listening in from across the office. A girl in disguise is actually a dragon that goes by the name of Elma, when work is over, Elma is able to make it to Kobayashi's house way faster than her giving her time to relay what she heard to fellow dragons staying at Kobayashi's house "She's bringing a friend over?" Tohru asks with a bit of jealously and frustration "Yeah! A boy. Miss Kobayashi never brings a friend so try not to frighten them!" Elma urges as Tohru crosses her arms "I can handle a situation like this just fine." Kanna walks over "Kobayashi's bringing a friend?" Kanna questioned as Elma nods rapidly, feet can be heard from outside "That must be her!" Elma makes her leave, Tohru greets Kobayashi with a big and tight hug while Kanna clings to Kobayashi's legs "Welcome back! Miss Kobayashi-san!" You look on with confusion at the two girls dressed in what seemed to be maid outfits "Did you hire a maid service or something?" You ask while remembering to take your shoes off and bow to the two maids "E-eh? No these are...friends. They need a place to stay." Kobayashi tried to explain when you noticed the tail and horns "Cos...play?" You question with Kobayashi scrambling to find an excuse "Let's have a drink!" She changes the subject and heads to the kitchen, Tohru moves around your body "Hmmm...A man..." She starts to sniff as you back off "Look, I'm into roleplay but I don't feel like it right now." Tohru tilts her head "Role...play?" She asked as Kanna pulled on your sleeve "Sit down." Kanna points to the chair while asking you to sit down so you do as told and take a seat.

Kobayashi can be heard grabbing some drinks "G-girls! Remember to give him some personal space!" Tohru constantly stares at you while you're avoiding eye contact as Kanna keeps trying to make you comfortable by wrapping you in a blanket and putting pillows around you "If I can ask...how do you know these two?" Kobayashi enters with a couple of cold drinks that drip with once frozen ice. She hands you one and you kindly accept with Kobayashi taking one for herself "Uhh...Tohru here was found in a forest and she's a good maid where she comes from so she offered to be a maid here with me allowing her to stay in return and Kanna...well she's a child so I can't just leave her." Kanna laid on your lap like a kitten, you pat her head "Interesting. But it's nice of you to do something like that. Always looking out for the little one, Kobayashi." Kobayashi blushes from this compliment "Awww thanks Y/N-Senpai. You're not so bad yourself." You took a long sip from the bottle before lowering it back down "Well it's the nice thing to do, look out for people." Kobayashi agreed with a calm nod and a sip from her drink "You're not at work tomorrow, right?" Kobayashi asked as you laid back with a sigh "Nope, which is good." Kobayashi rubs her neck "Would you like to stay here for the night then?" You turned your head quizzically to look at Kobayashi's blushing face, she takes a glance over to see you're looking at her before she looks away as quickly as she glanced "If it's not too much trouble. It's a long way to get home from here." Tohru tries to intervene when Kobayashi gives her an angry glare "Good! You can sleep with me in my room, I don't mind." You felt hotter as your face glowed red with blush, Kobayashi turned her head away and rubbed her arms between her legs "If you wanted to..." You held the beer toward her "Sure, just as long as you don't mind a bit of sleep talking." Kobayashi raises her beer against yours as the two of them clink together "I don't mind at all." The both of you take a sip collectively.

Once a few drinks have been had you unbuttoned your shirt and flopped into Kobayashi's bed "Kobayashi-San..." Tohru says with worry as Kobayashi turned to Tohru "I know you have a problem with him being here but he's...well he's just special to me okay? I owe him a lot. Just try to get along with him." Kobayashi explained while changing into her sleeping clothes "Who knows, maybe you two will get along." Tohru perks up upon hearing this as she looked at you sleeping "Trust me Tohru if we never met in that forest you'd judge me just like you judge him." Kobayashi closes the door to her room as she lays beside you to sleep, you feel warm with Kobayashi at your side, meanwhile, Tohru thinks about what Kobayashi said and that if it's really true. If Tohru never met Kobayashi and went with someone else would she ever even pay notice to her? Tohru continued to ponder this question late into the night while everyone slept
